Spirits

I open my eyes and let out a yawn, and then try to figure out where I am. I'm in the car, we were heading back.

"We'll be back any minute." Glenn says to me, noticing that I had woken up.

I nod my head and sit myself up in my seat, pulling my jacket back up over my shoulders.

"Glenn.." I say his name quietly to get his attention as I rub my eyes, still trying to wake up.

"Yeah?"

"Thank you for coming with me. It means a lot to me."

"Don't mention it." He says with a smile.

We pull back into camp and see everyone gathered by the fire, per usual. However, I notice that Shane, Carol, Ed, and Sophia are missing.

I grab my things, and Glenn and I make our way to the camper.

"I'm assuming everything went smoothly?" Rick asks, checking in on us.

"Yeah, we were in and out." Glenn says.

They exchange nods and Rick glances at me.

"You alright?" He asks me with a tranquil expression.

"Yes, I'm fine." I respond with a slight smile.

"You guys wanna join us by the fire once you get your things put away? We just got it started." Rick asks.

"Sounds good to me." I say, looking over to Glenn.

"Yeah, yeah." He says, answering my inquiring gaze.

With that, Rick walks away and we make our way to the camper.

I open the door and hold it open as Glenn walks in behind me. I throw my bag on the top bunk, and start putting my weapons away, except my knife.

"Do you want me to wait for you? Or can I head over?" Glenn asks me.

"Go ahead, I'll be out in a minute or two." I say reassuringly.

He leaves and I continue to unpack my things. Once Im finished, I decide to change into a different shirt and begin to walk out of the door.

Suddenly a hand grabs me firmly by the waist. I turn around and see Shane, holding a large empty bottle in his hand. I remove his hand from me and back away

"What the hell Shane-"

Before I can finish my sentence, he leans in and tries to kiss me.

"Get off!" I shout, pushing him away from me.

He looks up at me, hurt.

"L-Lor.. Lori.." His voice is quiet, and he's slurring.

"Where did you get that." I say, putting my hands in front of myself defensively.

"In the woods. By the lake... T-There was a crate... Lori.."

He tries to grab me by the back of my neck, and I smack him across the face. Hard.

"Shane! I am not Lori!" I shout.

He stares at me, with an empty expression, before he slowly turns around and walks away.
