Not so random shorts

A/n: quick explanation these aren't random shorts. In other words these are all going to be connected to the same time line and story meaning that in future shorts they might make reference to other ones, and although no particular order (you can read them in any order) it might make sense if you read them in the order suggested! Yes there is a bigger story behind this, but I'm to lazy to write or explain it here maybe if this gets popular but most likely no. Hope you enjoy and sorry for the long note.

I move swiftly through the house going back and forth from the kitchen to prepare for the exciting night ahead.

It was Game day!

The one day every other month that we all meet up (usually at mine and Sunny's house) to play board games and such and I was pumped up and really excited to see everyone. I had been pacing around the kitchen preparing snacks for when they got here when Sunny popped his head in.

"Hey hun, whatcha ya up to?" He asked walking over to me. "Just finishing up making the rest of the snacks, why?" I responded as he put his arms around me pulling me close. "Just wondering why you've been running around the house all day..." he said resting his head on my shoulder.

"O-oh yeah...sorry 'bout that..." I said holding onto him.Suddenly he perked up and gave a bright but uncharacteristic smile. "You excited Basil? I honestly have been looking forward to this since we planned it!" He exclaimed while toning down his smile.

"Of course I'm excited! I've been waiting all day trying to keep myself busy!" I say back with just as much enthusiasm. He gave a small smile and put his hand under my chin making me look up more. Then he pulled me in for a quick loving kiss and as if right on cue there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it!" I shout jumping up and rushing to the door nearly bouncing with excitement.I smile warmly as I open the door and see the person on the other side.

"Hi hero! It's nice to see you again!" I say brightly greeting him with a hug. "Hey Basil, it's nice to see you too! How's it been we haven't talked in a bit." he said glancing around before smiling at me.

"Oh it's been good, well...fine it kinda gets lonely when Sunny's not here though." I say rocking back and forth. "But why don't you come in! Come on!" I say ushering him inside. He nodded his head and stepped in the house looking around a bit.

That when I noticed for the first time he was holding a small pot.He looked at me and then at what he was holding then realized I had been looking at it. "Oh, uhmm sorry I probably should have asked if it was okay first but I brought some food for later." He said sheepishly.

"Oh no it's alright!" I smile back reassuring him."Besides, now I don't have to make dinner!" I winked at him and he chuckled a bit. "Okay thanks!" He says as I start to offer my help.

"Here let me take that for you, you can sit on the couch." I say pointing towards the couch as I make my way towards the kitchen. "Hey hero!" Sunny says walking into the living room and sitting down on the couch to set up the games.

"Hi Sunny! So how's it been?" He asks as I put the food in the fridge. While we wait for the others we caught up on what had been going on and how we've been and all. Sooner or later we heard a knock on the door and I opened it to find Aubrey on the other side this time.

"Hey Aubrey! How've you been? I'm glad you could come, is Kel with you?" I greet her while gesturing for her to come in. She steps inside and waves to Hero and Sunny on the couch. "Hi Basil, I've been good and of course I would come!" She says ruffling my hair.

"Oh but no, Kel isn't with me." She said looking around before going to the living room to greet the others on the couch. I walked to the living room and plop on the couch. "Wait- wait, wait, Lemme guess. We're waiting on Kel!" She says pointing towards me.
