"You know that's not real it's just a kids story." Sarah said. We shook our heads as we still stared. I closed the small golden ball and tucked it away.
"We need to get there somehow." Jim said. "The airport." Professor said. "Yes. The air port. I'll take you." He said, packing a few things.
Jim and I exchanged smiles. "This is absurd." Sarah said. "It'll be alright, Sarah. I promise." The professor said. "I'm not ok with this but... Ok." She hugged Jim and ran off into the kitchen.
We hurried the professor and left to the airport. When we got there we soon found our ship and walked up to a man who looked to be the captain.
"Excuse me, captain." The professor said. He laughed "I am not the captain." Suddenly a feline looking woman jumps from somewhere and slides on a rope landing beside the man. "It's not as good as mine but the ship will do, Mr. Arrow." He tilted his head toward her "Thank you, captain."
She looked us over. I crossed my arms and leaned on one foot. "Captain, we are the ones who found the treasure-" the professor was cut off as she put a finger to his lips.
She motioned to the people around us, the crew members, who were watching us.
They looked nothing like the captain. All dressed raggedly as they walked in a slouching sort of way.
They were all so odd looking. One looked like a scorpion and one looked like an enormous slug. Another had a tiny head that crawled and a huge body with eyes. I shivered and turned my attention back toward the captain.
She began leading us to the head of the ship. I think it was a study, actually.
We opened up the map and showed it to her. "Incredible." She said quietly. The professor and the captain talked about it while I zoned out and looked around.
I began thinking about Jim. Why in the world would I have feelings for him. I scoffed, mentally. No. I sighed. "You alright?" He asked, placing a hand on my shoulder. That's why. So sweet and caring... He never acted like that to anyone else.
I nodded. "Mr. Silver will be grateful to have two cabin kids." The captain said. I turned quickly. "What?"
