▪︎ prowl arrives on earth with blitzwing and lugnut in search for all spark and their fallen leader, megatron
▪︎ engaging in battle with the small team of rag-tag autobots every other week is the norm for the small ninja-con
▪︎ however on those few days where nothing is demanded of him and no solo missions are given to him, prowl visits central detroit public park to watch earth's wildlife undisturbed
▪︎ well, not undisturbed
▪︎ the speedster had arrived and in tow he had the human child that clings onto the autobots like their her lifeline.
▪︎ they didnt notice the decepticon right away, as he was up in a tall tree and deathly silent as he watched the little autobot and his human companion
▪︎ "did you bring it?"
▪︎ "mhm!"
▪︎ and then bumblebee proceeded to pull some kind of human fabric attached to a string? prowl raised an optical ridge under his visors
▪︎ "so what is this thing again?"
▪︎ "its a kite! you play with them when it's windy outside! you hold onto the handle like this," sari demonstrated, "then let go of the kite when the wind picks up and it'll fly on it's own!"
▪︎"oooooo!!" he cheered as he snatched the device from her and waited for the wind to pick up
▪︎ prowl watched from above like a peering owl as a breeze developed
▪︎ instead of holding onto the handle and letting the kite go- bumblebee let both go by mistake and sari's face dropped as they watched it sail away, too high for them to reach
▪︎ and got stuck on the branch prowl was perched on
▪︎ bumblebee pushed sari behind him when they finally saw the leering con and the tiny human clutched onto his ped and peaked up at prowl
▪︎ but neither lunged at one another
▪︎ and thus began a staring contest
▪︎ and they stared
▪︎ and stared
▪︎ staring....
▪︎ "what are you two doing??" sari asked pointedly, in almost a disappointing tone
▪︎ after another few seconds, prowl grabbed at the kite, locked optics with bumblebee once more, and then leaped off the spindly tree
▪︎ landing gracfully on his peds, prowl leaned down and handing the mini autobot his kite thing
▪︎ "you should be more cautious with the child's toys," is all the decepticon said before straightening his back, walking away, transforming into his alt form and speeding out of the park and back to homebase
▪︎ several months later, it became a routine for the two to meet in either the public park or a secluded area in a nearby forest
▪︎ of course, megatron would have prowl's helm on a stick if he were to be spotted canoodling with the scum of the universe
▪︎ ,,but for some reason, prowl was drawn to the loud mouth two-seater
▪︎ and if optimus were to find out where bumblebee has been soending his free time- or rather who he spends it with- well. bumblebee doesnt really know how optimus would react, but it was definitely not an option
▪︎ primus forbid sentinal prime or ultra magnus found out! he'd be sent to prison on cybertron!
▪︎ so they kept it their little secret
▪︎ well, their and sari's secret
▪︎ it wasnt until almost a year later that prowl got frustrated with bumblebee obliviousness with his obvious flirting and he simply picked up the autobot from under his arms and smacked their faces together
▪︎ but like, in a romantic way
▪︎ bumblebee was in shock for a whole earth week
▪︎ digit holding is an always when theyre alone,, it cant be considered hand holding since bee's entrie servo wraps around two of prowl's digits
▪︎ cuddling under the stars and forehead kisses,,,,
▪︎ they're so inlove that it becomes obvious on the battlefield
▪︎ they constantly ignore each other during a fight and take on different aponents,, and if its a dire situation, will purposely let the other win to avoid harming each other
▪︎ when christmas comes around, sari delivers them both a scrapbook with a collection of their photos and glitter and heart stickers and doodles of them together
