Well, I did arrive on time for my meeting. But it seems like my mind was traveling thousands of light years away — overthinking the situation earlier.
After our meeting ended I looked up to Kayden and Toni who were looking skeptical about me. I swear they're about to throw me across the window because of how obvious my spacing out was.
"Alam mo kung may problema ka, Ela, sabihin mo kaagad hindi yung ikaw nagpa-schedule nitong meeting tas lutang ka." Toni
"Ano ba kasing problema? " Kayden
"Nagkita kami ulit, binawi niya lahat ng sinabi niya tas ako naniniwala naman ako, muntik na nga kaming maghalikan."
"Anak ka pala ng kahoy eh mas marupok ko pa sa pinaka-marupok oh isa't kalahating gaga ka? "Toni
"Pareho, Hindi ko alam. May boyfriend ba si Eris kasi kung oo tangina baka wala na talaga akong ihaharap sa kanya."
"Wala, matagal na silang wala. Naging isyu sa noon sa office pero ang alam ko wala talaga." Kayden
"Hay, nako, Ela. Meron man o wala ang tanga mo pa din. Grabe yung ginawa niya sa'yo pls wag ka naman magpadala sa matamis na salita niya." Toni
Tama siya, hindi na nga dapat. Pero bakit hindi ko magawa.
"Paano si Agatha. Diba pauwi na 'yon?" Kayden
"I know, wala naman sa plano ko yun eh pero wala naman talaga nangyari. Tsaka, Agatha knows the story and I'm sure she'll understand."
"Okay, you're sure about this? Don't let her or your past get to you, Ela." Kayden
"Oo, sis. Kay Agatha d'on ka na. Magsama kayo habang buhay 'di ako against." Toni.
Ela, come to think of it, maybe they're right. Maybe she's the better option for you.

That was my reaction when I almost felt our lips touching. I would be grateful if it did, but hell it didn't. I miss her caressing my soft red lips— both of ours touching. I just miss everything about her.
So when her scheduled meeting interrupted us I felt extremely annoyed. This was it— my chance to reconcile and fix what was going on between us. But I guess our moment is always destined to be cut short.
I stood there, frozen and shocked. I can't move and I don't think I can in the next few seconds.
"Miss, are you okay? You look distressed and pale."
"Yes, I was just having a headache. I'm sorry if I'm blocking the way hehehe."
Nakakahiya ang tagal ko na ata nakatayo d'on .
"No, it's okay lang! Take your seat muna baka matumba ka or what."
"Oh, thanks, you should take a seat din muna. "
"Do you want anything? I'll order muna."
"Water will be fine. Again, super thank you! Btw this is so rude of me, what's your name pala?"
"Oh, I'm Agatha Isidore, you?"
"Eris Torres."
"Nice name! Sige I'll get our orders na."
After that, we talked more about random things and she's nice and very energetic. What a great distraction from what happened earlier.

I know that Agatha is here in the country already, I was about to meet her actually in the cafe but obviously, I wasn't able to. So I texted her to meet me in Torres Construction, since I have some amendments to do about our project.
[ Overcall with Agatha]
Agatha: Hey, sweetie! I'm already in the lobby. Meet me there. I'm with a friend, She also works here! Maybe you know her, but anyways, can't wait already!
Ela: Nasa elevator na ako, see youuu!
[ End Call ]
I brought her some sunflowers, it's her favorite so I'm sure she'll love them.
While walking through the lobby, I saw Agatha running towards me. But something in our surroundings has caught my attention. It was her friend. As she would say.
"Thank you for this, I love it, sweetie! Btw I'm here with a friend. Hey! Eris, come!" Agatha
Putangina, ang liit nga naman ng mundo.
"Eris, This is my ultra special friend, Ela. She also works here, baka you two know each other na?"
I do, I fucking know her very well. Too well to the point that I even know her to bits and pieces.
"Oh, yes. I know her already hahaha, you two really look good together! Congrats, btw Agatha, I need to go na pala. Thanks, for accompanying me kanina! Bye."
The thing is no, we don't. We're just friends just like the two of us, Eris.
