July 8th.

~ Celeste POV ~

I stand in front of the mirror, looking at my reflection. My makeup turned out really good today but it sucks because we have to wear masks during the bank robbery, anyway. What a waste.

This is the last thing we need to do for Hades. And then on the 10th, we're having dinner with Hans. The guy we need to convince.

I turn to look at Nic and pull the mask over my face,  "Look, Nic! I look scary."

"Nah. You look better," his words made me roll my eyes and pull my mask off.

I sit down on the living room couch, watching Nic do up the buttons to his white dress shirt. His black hair is extra shiny since it's still wet from his shower.

"Need to talk to a worker on our way down. My shower was only hot for one minute before turning freezing cold," he complained, finishing the buttons on his shirt.

"Mhm," I nodded, pulling out a piece of gum and popping it onto my mouth. "You should totally tell them to get that fixed."

His shower was cold because I turned on the sink the second I heard him get in the shower.

"Okay. Come on," he says impatiently, turning around and picking up the large bag filled with guns, tools, and masks.

I roll my eyes, but stand up, "I still don't understand why we have to rob this bank."

"Because the bank fucked over Hades, so Hades wants to do it back to them. We're supposed to get 10 million dollars out of this vault that's in the basement, and don't forget," his tone turned more serious and he stood directly in front of me, preventing me from grabbing the piece of fruit I was going for. "Another couple will be there. We need to convince them we're happily married."

"Okay, yea, I got it," I smiled bitterly. "I'll try not to use one of the guns on myself in the process."

"Ha-ha," he fake laughed and stepped back. "You're hilarious."

He's getting another cold shower for that.

I follow him out of the room. I made a mental note to explore the hotel tomorrow. On the sign, it says there's a pool, hot tub, casino, and bar. So at least there are some fun things to do while I'm trying to make the coldest man ever like me.

"Hades has a car here for us to use," Nic tells me as we step outside. "It's supposed to be a black Hellcat."

While Nic searched for the car, I looked up at the California sun. It was hot, blinding, and made my skin heat up instantly. I need to go to the beach one of these days.

"Here," Nic says when he finally finds the car, and hands me the bag. "Change your shoes while I drive."

He gets in the driver's seat, leaving me standing there for a moment before quickly getting in, "Um, what do you mean 'change my shoes'?"

He gives me an unamused look, "You seriously were going to rob a bank in those 6-inch stilettos?"

I looked down at my shoes. They were cute. I mutter, "Whatever."

I pull out the pair of black boots he put in the bag for me, and changed my shoes.

I stared out at all of the buildings and people as we drove. I felt amazed to be in a place with a different culture. You could see the beach in the distance, and there were cute guys everywhere. Hopefully, there are some at our hotel, too.
