Clasp of life

Chapter 24

Daisy was too stunned to move. She had her hands flat on the floor while she sat on the floor trying to build up the courage to hold the lifeless body of the angel who saved her once.

Raffaele bends down to kneel near Daisy and whispers in her ear "she isn't dead"
Daisy looks at Raffaele, confused, and then looks back at Penny who was covered in blood.
"She is just unconscious. The blood is from the old lady she was with. I sent two men to get the girl and they had to shoot the old lady to get this little girl" says Raffaele but all Daisy heard was Penny was alive.

Daisy moves closer to Penny and lifts her from the floor and pulls her on her lap. She shakes her to confirm if Penny was alive.
"Eww... Daisy baby. Why did you pick her up? Now you are dirty" says Raffaele standing up and making a foul face.

Daisy checked Penny if she was breathing and cried harder hugging her when she was sure, Penny was alive.
Raffaele was not pleased.
"I don't like this Daisy. You should only love me and not this stranger" says Raffaele and fists her hair to make her look at him.
"You are making me jealous Daisy. I feel like killing this girl now" says Raffaele and leaves her hair. He removes his gun and points it at Penny. Daisy screams and begs Raffaele to not hurt Penny.
"You love her?" Asks Raffaele and Daisy says "yes"
Raffaele was fuming in anger and hits her face with the bottom of his shoe. He kicks her a few times and screams "you could love and choose not to love me?"

"No one can love you," says Salvador catching Raffaele's attention.
"What are you doing here?" Asks Raffaele panting after kicking and beating Daisy.
"You have Magnus's daughter and shot his mother," says Salvador.
"My men shot that woman cause she wouldn't let my men kidnap the little girl," says Raffaele and looks back at Daisy who still held on to Penny even though she was severely hurt.
"You are nothing but a nuisance. I wish I had a better son I could leave behind my business. But I am stuck with you who will burn it down to ashes" says Salvador and Raffaele rolls his eyes and asks "what do you want?"
"I am taking the girl back," says Salvador.
"I am not letting you take my daisy," says Raffaele.
"I don't give a fuck about that dead body. I am taking Magnus's daughter back" says Salvador and walks close to where Daisy was holding Penny.
"Is she dead?" Asks Salvador.
"Not yet. Neither of them are" says Raffaele.

Salvador walks closer and tries to take Penny from Daisy but she refused.
"Leave her," says Salvador but Daisy doesn't let him. Salvador calls two of his men to take Penny from Daisy.
"Touch either of them and you will die" warns Raffaele to the two men but the men had to ignore Raffaele as they obeyed Salvador.
Raffaele shoots them dead near Daisy who had their blood pooling near her.
"You dare kill my men" shouts Salvador.
"Yeah, I dare. I'll even dare to kill you if you touch the girl. I am not returning her till I play with her" says Raffaele.
"You wouldn't dare kill me, you piece of shit," says Salvador and tries to pull Penny again.
Salvador had to back up when he feels a sharp pain in his leg. Raffaele had shot him in his leg.
"You shot me," says Salvador.
"Yeah, daddy. I shot you, yet to kill you" says Raffaele and shoots Salvador's other leg.

Salvador fell to the floor and Raffaele stood over him and says "you should have seen this day coming. It's your fault you didn't kill me when you had the chance. See? I ended up killing you"
Raffaele had a hard expression and says "you cared about business all your life and fucked me up. What will you take to your grave now? Nothing you piece of shit"
"I hate you," says Salvador.
"Yeah yeah, that's old news. Goodbye Daddy" says Raffaele and shoots his chest.
"Now bleed to your death," says Raffaele and watches Salvadore struggle to breathe and ultimately die.

Raffaele looks at Daisy who was watching him and says "he was not a good man. He got what he deserves"
"You will too" whispers Daisy.
Raffaele glares at Daisy and was ready to give her another beating but was interrupted by Aiden and a few of Raffaele's men.
"Daisy killed daddy after he hit her. Don't worry, I'll punish her" says Raffaele.
"That's Penny," says Aiden.
"No, that's a toy," says Raffaele and picks Daisy by her arm. Daisy held Penny even closer not ready to let her go.
"My dear wife is obsessed with it. She will give it up when it breaks or if I break it" says Raffaele.

Raffaele drags Daisy to his room and then pushes her into the bathroom to clean herself and Penny.
"I'll visit you both later. Clean her extra special for me" he says and winks at Daisy and leaves.

Daisy sat under the shower, holding Daisy close to her with water from the shower mixing with her tears. Daisy wanted to meet Penny but not under this hell of the house where all she did was wait for death.

With the water splashing on Penny's face, she slowly opens her eyes and sits up on Penny's lap. She looks at Daisy and whispers her name.
Daisy busts out crying seeing Penny ok. They both shower and walk into the walk-in closet where Daisy had a few of her dresses. She picks a short cotton dress for herself and a t-shirt for Penny.
"I'll wash your clothes and then you can wear them," says Daisy.
Penny runs her tiny hand on Daisy's cheek and says "you are hurt. Did the monster hurt you again?" And Daisy nods.
"Where are we?" Asks Penny looking around.
"We are at his house," says Daisy and Penny hugs her and says "Daisy I am scared"
"I am scared too," says Daisy.
"What will we do?" Asks Penny.
"I don't know," says Daisy.
"Will the monster hurt me too?" Asks Penny.
"No. I won't let him" says Daisy scared to even think of what Raffaele would do to Penny.
"What will you do?" Asks Penny.

'you can't save yourself, you think I can trust you with Penny's safety?" Asked Magnus last time.

"Daisy" calls Penny bringing her back to the present.
"I'll die to save you," says Daisy.
"If you die, no one will save me. You should fight the monster cause you are bigger than me," says Penny, and Daisy nods.

Daisy and Penny leave the room and walk to the entrance. Of course, it was closed. Daisy looked around and knew there was no place out as she had spent every day looking for a way out when she lived here.
"Daisy I am hungry," says Penny.
She took Penny to the kitchen and Penny said "someone spilled a lot of tomato sauce on the floor" looking at all the blood.
Daisy picks her up in her arms and walks past the blood and makes her sit on the kitchen counter. She picks ingredients from the fridge and makes a sandwich for Penny standing beside her.
Penny looks away from Daisy making the sandwich and sees a charming man approaching them. He places his finger on his lips, signing Penny to not make a sound. He approaches Daisy and wraps his arms around her waist.
"Hey, Daisy baby. I see the little girl is awake" says Raffaele feeling Daisy stiff in shock.
"I am Penny," says Penny with confidence.
"That's such a cute name. Daisy baby we should make one of these" says Raffaele.
"How do you make one of me?" Asks Penny.
"It's easy," says Raffaele, and before he would say anything else Daisy turns to face him.
"How?" Asks Penny.
"I can show you," says Raffaele.
"No please" begs Daisy.
"Fine, later. What do we have here?" Asks Raffaele and looks at the sandwich.
"I am hungry," says Penny.
"Me too. Let's share" says Raffaele and picks Penny and the sandwich in both his arms.
"Please no," says Daisy and tries to take Penny away but a glare from Raffaele made her stop.

Raffaele takes Penny to the couch and shares the sandwich with her.
"Do you know the monster living here?" Asks Penny innocently.
"Monster? I only know me. Do I look like a monster?" Asks Raffaele with his ever-so-charming smile.
"No. You have nice teeth and no horns. Monsters have long teeth and huge horns and big nails and idk. They are scary and one monster hit Daisy." says Penny.
"Maybe she deserved a little beating for being a bad girl," says Raffaele.
"No, she is nice. I like her. Daddy likes her. I call her mummy too cause she sleeps in daddy's bed like my friend's mummy and daddy sleep together. And daddy is not fur-no-sir so she sits on his lap too" says Penny eating her sandwich.
"Now listening to all that, the monster will be very angry," says Raffaele with grinding teeth.

Raffaele smiles at Penny and says "I know one monster"
"Who?" Asks Penny.
"Me. I am the monster who hurt Daisy and wants to play with you. You'll play with me, right?" Asks Raffaele holding her feet.
"No," says Penny seeing him come close to her.
"You don't have a choice," says Raffaele and holds her jaw between his fingers.
"I like playing with little girls and your father will love to see you after I am done with you," says Raffaele and moves his face close to Penny but falls on the floor holding his head.

Penny turns to see Daisy who held a frying pan in her hand.
"You bitch" says Raffaele and stands up but Daisy stricks again and hits his face. She hits him multiple times, not letting him attack back. She stops when he stops moving.

Daisy goes close to Raffaele, holding the frying pan tight in a grip. She jumps when his phone rings. She looks at the phone which was beside him and sees the name Aiden. Daisy picks up the calls and says "hello"
"Daisy? Is that you? Where is Raffaele?" Asks Aiden.
"I think he is dead," says Daisy looking at the pool of blood around Raffaele's head.
