Hello to anyone reading this! I'm new to writing and I'm hoping this will help me get a good start and learn, if you have any advice please share it would mean the world to me!!

Run. Left.
Don't stop running. It will cost you everything. Right.
Focus. Don't trip on a pebble or root. Remember what direction your going. Eyes open. Left, right, right, left. Control your breathing. Through your nose. Don't breathe out your mouth. He might smell your breath... Left.
Keep running. Right. One leg and then the other. It doesn't matter how tired you are. And it doesn't matter that your nose burns from the suffocating sent of roses. Left. Keep running.
Left. Eyes burning you give in to the urge to blink. Mistake. Flying through the air for a moment your too afraid to remember to catch yourself with your hands.
As your body falls forward you glance what you tripped on. A dead body.

I know this was short but this is a short story so I suppose it's to be expected. I'm looking to maybe write longer stories in the future once I've got on my feet. But if you prefer short stories let me know!!
