ToniAfter my performance I walked down the stairs with my heart filled. It amazed me how I went up there so nervous and my voice brought the house down. I had to let up a quick prayer and the lord came through.
He'll do it for me everytime. I sat down in the pew next to my sister's. "You did great Toni." "Yea for someone who almost died before going up you killed it." Smiling I said thank you.
I sat back and payed attention to the pastor. I felt a vibration in my lap. I wanted to check it but I could already feel my mother's eyes on me. "Please stand, for the benediction."
Putting it inside my purse I stood to my feet. "Don't let the devil fool you Toni. Don't let him fool you." I nodded my head as everyone made their way out of the church.
Once we were finally outside I checked my phone. It was a text from Gen.
Daddy G 💨
Imma be home for some time today, you tryna come over?
Smiling at it I didn't respond. I swiftly made my way to my car. I didn't want to do the normal greetings after church. My mother had already ticked my spirit.
"T, wait for us!" Tamar and them hopped in my car. "Why'd you try to leave so fast, you know mommy's gonna call you about it later." Trina said making me roll my eyes.
"I just wasn't in the mood, saying goodbye to black people is longer than the church service in itself." I said pulling off.

When I got to my parents house I parked. "Oh so you're in that mood?" Tracy asked. I nodded. "Yea tray." I sighed looking back at the girls.
"I met someone." I mumbled out. They all started screaming and stuff. Making me laugh. "Ouuuu how they look." I pulled out my phone and showed them a picture of Gen.
"Damnnnn, that's how you get down Toni?" Tamar said making everyone laugh. Rolling my eyes I shrugged. "I don't know yet, but I got invited over so we'll see what happens."
"Tell us everything!" I nodded and blew them kisses as they got out the car. "Love y'all." And with that I pulled off.
I pulled up to my home and parked. I was out all day today so I knew I had to shower before seeing gen. "Oh crap." I forgot to respond. Grabbing my phone quickly I accepted her invite.
I went into my dresser pulling an outfit. I made one out of nothing really.
Getting into the car I was on the phone with my sister's.
