Gen
It's been some time since Toni and I have seen each other. She's been busy with church and I've been doing my thing. I still haven't gone to church with her and I know she's fed up with that.
This God in the relationship thing has been working I guess. I wasn't sure what had changed but she said she noticed and feels change with us. So I went along with it.
I was in the car about to head for her. I hope she's already dressed but knowing her she's not even up out of bed yet.
I called her making sure she was up. "You up?" She nodded. "But are you ready?" She looked away from the camera. "You're not even close to my house." Shaking my head I stared at her.
"I'm outside." Toni's eyes went wide. "Right now?" I nodded making her scramble for her things. "You be so last minute you could've had ya shit packed a while ago."
She looked into the phone and rolled her eyes. She thought I ain't seen that shit. I just leaned back into the seat and rolled my eyes. Hanging up the phone I waited in the car for her to come outside.
After an hour she finally came outside. Opening the door from the inside I didn't even let her get in the car properly before speeding off.
"Okay yea, take me with the car why don't you?" I gave her the side eye and laughed. "It's no way you should be taking that long to only get dressed."
Sighing she pushed my shoulder "Well I did, problem?" Raising my eyebrows I leaned back. "Hell yea." She mushed my head. Stopping the car I looked at her.
"Do it again I'll shoot you." She didn't look not one bit of phased. And she did it again. I didn't do anything. "That's what I thought continue driving." Shaking my head I punched her thigh.
"How long you plan on spending in here." She shrugged. "I'm gonna need you to know because all day in here is a big ass N. O." Toni looked at me and rolled her eyes.
Choking her a little I stared at her. "Watch that eye shit you been doing that a lot." Sighing she puckered her lips to try and kiss me.
Accepting it I side eyed her. "I'm sorry." "Mmhm." •••••••
It's been three hours since we got out the car. And we're still in store number one. I'm about to leave this girl right here in this building. Forget the store. She'll get left in the damn building.
"Tone it's been three hours. In STORE NUMBER ONE." she only waved me off for the third time. Nodding I grabbed my keys. She think I'm playing.
I put her bags down and walked out the store. She didn't even notice I left. She think I'm playing. That's the crazy part.
Making my way to the car I sat inside. Just as I turned it on I got an incoming face time call. Looking into the camera I was met with her mad face.
Face was all screwed up. Almost made me laugh. "Where are you?... no how could you just leave me in the- Gen!" I wasn't paying attention to her at all.
"Yes Toni." I said looking back at her. "Why did you leave me in the store babe?" I tilted my head. "You was taking too long." Getting out the car I headed back into the mall.
I walked back into the store she was in and hung up the phone. "Fine I won't take as much time as I did in this one in the next one." I did not believe her. I just grabbed the bags and followed her out the store.
We walked into a shoe store this time. Thank God I needed some new Jordan's. My collection has been on pause.

Toni
We were walking down the sidewalk cause I wanted to get ice cream from a truck. Gen was being stupid as always. "Nothing is shady about ice cream from a truck, you ever heard of and ice cream truck?"
She gave me a weird look and rolled her eyes. "Yea moving one's this shit parked up on the ally way. Shady." I shook my head and took another lick of my ice cream.
Soon I spotted another store. I slowly looked over at gen. "Don't look over here cause I'm not gong in there." I refrained from rolling my eyes.
Everything was good until this girl came up to us. "Gen?!" Gen looked over her glasses. "Jade?." I rose my eyebrows as the girl kissed her cheek. "Where've you been?"
I was looking at gen like she was crazy. "I've been calling and calling.." "I just uh, I been around." Yea that's enough of that. "You ready baby?" "Oh I'm sorry, T this is jade.... Jade this is Toni."
She reached out her hand to shake and I did shake it never taking my eyes off gen. "How are you?" "I'm fine." "Uh jade's and old friend of mine..." "really? Oh okay well the kids are ready and you know the jets running wheels up at six"
And with that I started heading for the car. She had me messed up.
••••••• We made it to the car and I waited till she opened the trunk. I pushed the bags in and slammed the trunk. "Really? Kids waitin? Wheels up at six? Whea all that come from?"
"I watch tv. Did you sleep with her?" She was taking a while so I tilted my head. "Yea..." rolling my eyes I opened the car door. "Shouldn't have even asked."
