The Haunted House

Chapter 1

Do you believe in ghosts? What would you do if you and your friends got trapped in a haunted house? Would you survive? Well this story is just about that. Now if they all survive is another matter altogether, well let's see if they all make it out , shall we?

"Hey did you guys hear about that "haunted house?'" asked Connie, making air quotes over the words haunted house. "H-haunted house?" stuttered Armin, his big blue eyes widening fearfully. "Oh yeah you mean that big ol' ancient Victorian house?" asked Sasha. "Yep that one." answered Connie. " Is it really haunted?" asked Armin. "You know I don't really know." came Connie's reply. "Well there's only way to find out!" chimed in Eren. "We'll just have to spend the night there." "Sure 'cause that makes perfect sense you suicidal manic. " Came Jean's snarky reply. " What you scared Horse-face?" Eren asked jeeringly. "No everyone knows there is no such thing as ghosts." "Well there won't be a problem staying the whole night at that place will there?" "No." Jean shook his head at Eren. "Good then it's settled." said Connie. "What about you Mikasa? Are you going too?" He asked as he looked at the pretty raven black haired girl standing next to Eren. "Well if Eren's going then so am I." she said. "I guess if Eren and MIkasa are going then count me in too." Armin said with courage he didn't feel. "Well Connie and I are going no matter what." Sasha said her eyes filled with joy and apprehension for the night to come. "Wait is the Captain even going to let you come?" she asked looking at Eren. "I dunno guess I'll have to ask him." Everyone nodded in agreement. "Let's not have everyone jump at once." Eren muttered before getting up from his seat to go ask the captain. Eren walked up the stairs and paused before knocking on the captain's door. "Yes?" came the answer. "May I come in sir?" Eren asked, waiting with bated breath for the answer. "Yes, but it better be good." Eren opened the door to find Hange and Levi discussing some papers that were strewn all over Levi's desk. "Well what is it brat?" Levi asked, looking like he had enough of Eren's presence that Levi could handle despite the fact that Eren had just walked in. "I was wondering, Captain of I could go with the rest of the squad to spend the night at the haunted house?" Eren looked at Levi with hopeful ocean colored eyes. Before Levi could say a word, Hange exclaimed loudly,"Let's all go, it would be very scientific if we all went, c'mon Levi." "No." He answered. "Please Levi." Hange pressed. "Please Captain, we are all more than willing to clean the HQ more than twice." said Eren. "Tch fine." Levi relented. "Thank you Captain!" "When are we leaving?" asked Hange. "Right after supper." Eren said. "Ok." "Make sure you close the door on your way out brat." called Levi as Eren walked out. "Yes sir." Eren left to go find everybody not looking forward to having to tell everyone that would have to clean the HQ.

After a supper of soup and bread they all left to go to the haunted house. AS they were walking up the steps Eren and Jean were arguing. "Tch, I didn't come here to just listen to you two argue." Levi told the both of them. "Sorry sir." both Eren and Jean said in unison. "Guys did you see that?" asked Sasha. "Was it a ghost?" Armin asked fearfully. "Oh I hope it was." exclaimed Hange excitedly. " Hey who are you?" asked a man in black approaching from in front of them in the misty rain. One could easily see that he was not a man to be trifled with. Levi walked up to him. "We are the Survey Corps, the Levi squad and the commander. I'm Captain Levi and this is Commander Hange, and they are Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Sasha, Connie, and Jean." Levi said as he pointed them out. "You guys can come out now. The man in black called out behind him as two more figures appeared. "I'm Kritio ,this Asuna and Yui. We heard about this place and wanted to check it out." He said. "Well now that we are introduced and all can we get inside and out of this rain?" Jean asked his hair plastered to his face. "Yeah." echoed everyone else not looking much better. "Sure let's go." Kritio said leading the way to a gray Victorian house where ivy was climbing up the side and front of it. The windows looked uninviting and the house itself looked abandoned and long since forgotten. They walked up the creaky and rotting wooden front steps to the house, once inside they looked around in awe. There were cobwebs everywhere and it looked like no one had been inside this place in years or even decades. "Tch this place is filthy." said Levi, looking around in disgust at the dirt and cobwebs that lined the entryway. They all split up looking and exploring the house scaring,They all split up looking and exploring the house, scaring one another for fun. They then talked to their new complains learning much about them. When it grew too late they all went to their separate rooms to retire for the night. Little did they know not everyone would sleep peacefully.
