The clock struck midnight. "Why Jean, why?!" Jean woke up suddenly to the sound of the voice that had called his name. He looked around seeing nothing. It's just my imagination messing with me is all. He thought. Then the voice called again, more urgently this time. "Jean, why, Jean please tell me why?!" Jean's eyes widened, he knew that voice. "M-Marco it that you?" "Jean why?" Was all that came in response. Jean something flicker out of the corner of his eye. He turned when he felt the most unbearable cold was wash over him.

A blood curdling scream came from down below him. "Huh?" Jean ran outside his room, seeing everyone else look just as confused as he did. He looked over the foyer and felt the blood drain from his face. He was no stranger to death; but this was horrible. Blood ran down the walls and hanging from the chandelier by a rope was Asuna's body. Kritio's was on the ground facedown swimming in his own blood and poor Yui was laying right side up in a pool of own blood. What scared him most was the message scrawled on the walls still wet with fresh blood. None shall leave this place alive. Jean looking at Levi asked, "Does this mean we are going to die here?" "No but forget about spending the night. We're leaving now. Take their bodies down and we'll take them with us and get out of here, understood?" "Yes sir." They replied.

"Captain?" "Yes brat?" "Well I was wondering if you had heard anybody call out your name or if you saw anything?" Jean asked. "No. Now go do what I told you to do. " "I sorry captain for bugging you." Jean left as he was picking up Kritio's body feeling the dead weight out of it, closing his sightless eyes, he wondered if Marco had only come to him and if so why?

As they carried the bodies to the only door in the house and all were looking more than ready to leave. Armin walked up and tried to open the big dark brown wood door. "It's locked, it won't budge." He said fearfully. "Move out of the way." Levi said and tried to kick the door down. The door stayed intact. There was a gasp of school that ran through the group. "Fine, we just find another way." He called walking down the stairs. After searching the whole house there was no other exit. "Let's just stay the night here and try again in the morning,'' said Hanji. They nodded in agreement.

Levi walked up to his room cursing that fact that he had allowed himself to be talked into this. As he closed his tires gray blue eyes, he fell into a dreamless sleep. The clock chimed 1. "Levi wake up." Levi's eyes opened instantly, he came across nothing. "Huh, I thought I heard somebody." He looked around once more. Then something flickered at the edge of his vision. "Erwin?" He asked his tone full of disbelief. Then Jean's question form earlier crossed his mind, "have you heard anybody call out your name?" He decided to walk over to the brats room to see if he could explain more. As he walked his fist poised to knock on Jeans door, Levi heard a thump from upstairs. Levi left Jean's door to find out what it was. As he walked into the library and gasped, there lay Erwin's body. "N-no it's not possible, we burned your body long ago." "Levi leave this place or you'll never see the light of day again." Levi turned to see the ghost of Erwin hovering above his own body. Far down below him the clock struck two.
