The Haunted House

Chapter 4

Jean having walked around to find a book to read by himself heard his name being called. He turned and saw Marcos ghost looking as he had in life gesturing that Jean follow him. As Jean got up to do so armin ran and put his hand on Jean's shoulder say this as he did so," Jean, where are you going?" "I saw Marco, he wanted me to follow him." "Jean you heard the captain we stay here till 5." "Yeah I know but.." Jean's voice trailed off. "I know but we can't." Said Armin kindly," come on let's go back to the others." Jean turned to follow him looking back as he did so. The clock struck 20 minutes later.

They all turned racing as fast as they could to the front entrance. "Jean! Please come with me." Marcos' voice called out to him. Jean looked ahead at the door, his one chance at freedom and to escape just mere feet away from him and then back at Marco. "Ok, for you Marco." Jean turned and followed Marco. Everybody spilled out of the doorway. "Did everyone make it?" Asked Hanji. "Yeah" they replied. "Wait where's Jean?" Asked armin. "He was just behind me." "You mean horse face didn't make it out?" Asked eren. Suddenly a scream pierced the pre dawn hours. "Jean!" Yelled armin starting to race toward the door. "NO!" Mikasa yelled as she grabbed Armin. "There's nothing we can do for him now, I'm sorry Armin." Tears streamed down Armin's face. "Jean..." he whispered. They all looked at the house Jean's scream still echoing in their ears.

Now you know if you and your friend think about spending the night at a haunted house, think about this. Are you willing to sacrifice their lives or yours? You still think you'll survive or will you fall helpless to its trap as well? You see not everyone survives the night at a haunted house.
