Ava POV:
Ava was definitely going to die. It was 9:30 AM. Now, normal people would probably argue functional humans should probably already be up by now. Especially when they are in highschool and school starts at 6:30. But Ava is not a 'functional human' and instead has chosen to die at the hands of Silver, the hardworking, prodigy, senior who already is almost CEO of his family company. The man who just happened be their tutor. fantastic.
Throwing the doors to the front office open, Ava quickly walked in and began filling out the same tardy forms she'd filled out hundreds of times before.
Name: Ava Spark
Age: 15
Homeroom teacher: Mr. Neo
Reason for absence:Fuck. Ava hadn't thought that far. Normally they'd come up with some bullshit excuse such as; 'I had a dentist appointment' or 'We ran into a lot of traffic'. The actual reasons were always something along the lines of; 'I stayed up until 4AM doing homework' or 'I slept in'. Without even having to look up, the lady behind the desk, Mrs. Perkins, began to speak, "Write down the actual reason this time, please, Mrs. Spark."
Damn. Ava had to get better at this.
Reason for absence: slept in
Ava begrudgingly slid the form across the desk to Mrs. Perkins and quickly left the office.

Okay. So. Maybe. Just maybe. Ava could get away from Silver. As long as she avoided everyone he talked to and pretended to be absent all day. A full proof plan. 100% would work.
But. Uh. Slight oversight. Silver just happens to know everyone, including all of Ava's teachers. So while Ava was hiding in the corner of the library and saw him walk in, clearly searching for something, they knew they were screwed. There were only so many places in the small library Ava would be able to hide, and considering Silver spent at least a quarter of his day here it was clear he knew them all.
Accepting her fate, Ava stood up and began walking towards Silver. If Ava was going to go down, they wouldn't go down without the solace of knowing she wasn't found by Silver, and instead showed herself by their own choice, not because she was caught.
"So, finally decided to come out of hiding, huh?" Silver questioned, his cold and calculated eyes showing no trace of emotion. However, Ava was not a fool, and knew Silver well enough to know he was definitely angry. Ava did not want to dig their grave deeper.
"You could put it that way. I'm sorry for not showing up this morning. Had a lot of schoolwork to do last night, and I haven't slept in days. You know how it is." Ava deadpaned right back.
Silver's expression sofftened ever so slightly, almost impossible to see, but it was there. "Well, unfortunately you will not be avoiding the work that you missed. It is apparent you are in need of sleep, so it feels more appropriate to assign the missing work over the weekend instead of tonight."
Ava smiled at that. As much as she hated the know-it-all bastard, he was a good observer and had spared her another restless night.
"Thank you."
Silver simply nodded and turned away to leave.
