Warning: this book will contain-
Abusive Stefan amongst other things similar. If you don't like then don't read. Also because this is my story there will be some changes from the original plot of TVD.

Damon's POV
My hart ached as I sat in the woods. Per usual Stefan had me doing the dangerous bits of his stupid plans. Only this time it worked as he wanted. We had just rescued Elena from Rose and Elijah. Elijah had attacked Stefan and I had to stake him.

Only now I'm sat in the middle of the woods by myself. Stefan took Elena home. 'I don't understand why I felt so guilty. I shouldn't, should i?' I thought as I traced the symbol that resided on my right arm only for it to fade away as I had learnt to do over a century ago to keep it hidden.

I sighed and got up off the floor and started to walk

I sighed and got up off the floor and started to walk. I didn't have the energy to run back and I wanted to stay away from Stefan as long as possible. I knew he wasn't happy. 'I' had almost screwed up the plan by 'letting' him almost get staked. And he wasn't just going to let it go. Not with out making me suffer. But It wasn't like I could ask anyone for help ether they wouldn't believe me. 'Stefan's a good brother he wouldn't do that' 'stop lying Damon' 'your the evil one why should I believe you?' I could here everyone now. Any the only person who would help was stuck in a tomb.

Elijah's POV
I had just arrived as Rose opened the door. I followed her into the main room. Walking over to the doppelgänger I lent into her neck. "Impossible." I mumbled. She was human. I stood back up and straightened my jacked before turning towards Trevor and Rose. The doppelgänger was rambling behind me about how she wasn't Katherine or something.  I wasn't listening to her as I talked to Trevor.

Rose gasped as I snapped his head off and flung it across the room. "Don't. Rose you are free now." I told her as she contemplated attacking me. I gabbed the doppelgänger by the arm and started to drag her to the door when she said something that court my Interest. "What about the moonstone" "what?" "I know that you need it. I know where it is." She said "where is the moon stone" I asked. She then rambled about how that wasn't going to work. "Rose" I warned "This is the first I've herd of it" she responded.  "Where is it?" I compelled her. She didn't responded. "What is vervain doing there?" I mumbled as I ripped the necklace off of her neck. "Where is the moon stone." I asked again. "I'm the tomb With Katherine" she told me. Just then I sensed two more people in the room. "Up here" "down here." I felt the bace of my wrist tingle but ignored it.

I was about to stake the youngest Salvatore but someone pushed a stake threw me. I glanced at his face as I felt tingles where his skin contained mine as he pushed me into a wall confirming I was stacked. But before everything went black I could see the fear and confusion in his crystal blue eyes.

———

As I woke up I pulled the stake out of my chest. I stood up and took off my jacket. I rolled my sleeve up. As I looked at my arm my Soulmate mark reappeared. I brushed my fingers over the mark. I smirked, I had finally found my... our soulmate. I sighed as I knew that myself and Niklaus sheared a soulmate.

Damon's POV
My breath hitched in my throat as I got to the front door. I took a deep breath before opening it. I looked around wearily. I didn't here a sound. I relaxed slightly as I didn't think anyone was here but still kept my gard up as I knew Stefan's tricks. As I suspected Stefan walked down the stairs. My breath hitched in my throat as he walked towards me.

I knew what he was going to do but it still terrified me to no end. He backed me into a wall before snapping my neck.

———

As I woke up I felt myself hanging from something by my wrists. As I opened my eyes I saw that the room, well cell was empty. I knew where I was. I was in the basement cell. There was no point shouting as it would only end in Stefan injecting me with vervain. And it wasn't like anyone would care or want to know where i was as Stefan would just say that I left town for a bit or say that I was an asshole and no one would question it. So Im was alone with my thoughts hanging from the wall.

———

No POV
It had been weeks or at least that's what Damon presumed. There where no windows in the cell and Stefan never came daily. He only came to insult Damon or give him vervain.

At this point he was starting to turn grey from the lack of blood. He tensed as he herd Stefan coming down. He opened the cell and stepped inside. He was holding a bottle of blood. He placed it down and got Damon down. "I think you've been down here long enough." He said through gritted teeth. He glared at Damon before he left the cell leaving the door open. Damon waited before he herd the basement door close. He let out a breath and grabbed the bottle of blood. He opened it. He was about to start drinking but stopped. He pored some of the blood onto his hand and shore enough it burnt. 'Vervain.' He though as he slowly stood up and slowly walked towards the door.

———

Damon was confused as he sat down at the bar in the grill. He had just gone to see Katherine but she wasn't there. He knew who she was with but not where she was. Katherine had told Damon all about Klaus and the originals. One of the things she had told him was if she wasn't in the tomb she had been taken by Klaus.

Damon's POV
Just as the barman placed a bottle of bourbon in front of me and a glass. My left arm started to tingle. I ignored it and continued to drink until someone sat next to me. "Hello there love" the man said. I felt the man's heated gaze on me. "Klaus I presume?" I said looking up, my breath hitched as I saw him. He was gorgeous, he had blonde curly hair that contrasted with his deep blue-green eyes that i felt i could get lost in. Almost immediately I stoped myself from looking 'wowed'. Klaus smiled and nodded. "Yes, and who might you be?" He asked. I paused for a second before answering. "...... Damon"
