Hello. My name is Harris Irfan. I am a twenty-two-year-old young man, a fresh college graduate. I come from a middle-class family that is struggling to make ends meet. Everyone has their own dilemmas, and life isn't straightforward for anyone, but believe it or not, rich people have it easy because they don't have to fret about much of anything. Rich people are simply fortunate. In any case, the reason I am undergoing financial difficulties is due to my father's incurable malady.

I recently learned of my father's illness, stage 3 "leukemia." He has elevated amounts of white blood cells and is anemic; there is no alternative, and treatment is outrageously expensive, which I cannot afford. I've been looking for a decent occupation because I have two younger siblings to look after, in addition to my father.

My parents divorced five years ago, and my mother left us, abandoning a eight year old as well as a six year old in my father's care as his responsibility. Since then, I've been caring for them and looking after them, because my father used to work full-time job, and also we didn't have any financial distress, he also contributed in looking after them.

He is loving and caring but a strict person, hence the sole reason my mother left. She couldn't stand it any longer. Everything had to be perfect, such as the food not being too salty or bland, the precise same amount of salt in each and every dish, his garments being properly ironed with not a single wrinkle, and so forth. Now he's a complete mess, I honestly don't blame my mother.

*Present day*

I awoke as soon as the alarm went off yet again, "what's the problem with this damn alarm?" I said as I stood up to turn it off, when I noticed the time "SH*T! I'm running late!" I hollered and scuttled to the bathroom, fasting my pace I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and went downstairs to the kitchen, under which I apparently made toast and fried eggs, albeit a little burnt.

Then I went to wake my thirteen year old brother and eleven year old sister, and I forcedly dragged them to the bathroom while they were still rubbing their sleepy puffy eyes, waiting for them leaning against the door to come out, I made them dress up for school, then brushed my sister's hair while she was wiggling in my hands making it harder for me, suddenly I heard my brother roughly fixing his belt, I giggled at his innocence thinking "he still hasn't learnt to wrap a belt around", so I helped him out, then I served them their breakfast. After that I went over to my father's room to wake him up, so he could take his morning medicines. After my siblings were done with their breakfast, I went to drop them off at the bus stop and remained there until the school bus arrived.

This has been my usual routine since three years, when I took over the responsibility of taking care of my young siblings and my father also dealing with his illness.

"Great, now I only have twenty minutes to get to work" I thought as I glanced at the time. Before rushing off to work, I checked on my father, gave him breakfast, and reminded him to take his after-meal medicine before exiting.

I got to the café just in time. Yes, I work in a café. I understand it's not a great job, but it's better than doing nothing at all. After failing so many times to find a decent job, I felt hopeless. "Hey, Harris, you're right on time," my coworker Josh, said. "Yeah, I had to rush over" I explained as I was preparing to take orders.

While I was getting ready, a voice abruptly turned my attention towards it, and that's when everything around me froze when my eyes dropped on a beautiful girl chuckling not caring about the world, so carefree, her eyes sparkling, the innocence in them, I didn't notice for how long I was staring at her that I couldn't hear John calling out for me, she felt so out of the world, so simple yet so mesmerizing, I couldn't observe her completely as she was seated a bit far from the counter, that's when John lightly shaked me taking me out of my wonderland, "are you fine Harris?, I was calling for you", "yeah sorry,  everything's fine, I zoned out for a bit", I shaked my head slightly and got back to work after taking a last glance at her.

After a while of taking orders, "Hello, what would you like to ord-" I froze the moment I looked up from my notepad, It was her.

For a moment I couldn't believe how beautiful she was from up close.

Unintentionally I begin taking all her details in.

her long dark brown wavy hair flowing with the cold breezing of the wind allowing them to rest on her small yet broad shoulders along with her back making them reach till her waist and a few strands to fall free on her bare face.

her sharp features were making her look nothing less then a goddess.

skin as pale as the first falling snow of winter, smooth soft caramel toned.

her cheeks as a light shade of rosy pink, her plump glossy strawberry pink lips, and a mole under them, her sharp jawline was well defined.

Her smile was as cold and lovely as frost on a windowpane, It was like a sudden beam of sunlight illuminating the darkest corners of a room, and then my attention diverted towards-

Her Eyes

Her eyes were undescribable, curly permed long dark lashes, Eyes as deep as the ocean, as mesmerizing as a sunrise, as dreamy as a starry night.

her big dark brown orbs, like buttered chocolate with darker rays fanning out around the bottomless pit of an iris, swirled with caramel crescent moons and trapped by a thick hazy black limbal ring.

I was lost in them until......
