Hailee's POV

I've got about half an hour before I have to leave to be on time to meet Brooke and I am so nervous, I feel like I should wear something nice to impress her but we're only writing, maybe I'll just throw on a hoodie and some sweatpants, at least i'll be comfortable.

I already wrote a few things to show her when we get started but I'm not to sure about it, maybe we can just start fresh.

My phone began to ring, indicating my driver, Steve, is here, "you can do this hailee" I said to myself to try and calm my nerves, I don't know why I'm so nervous, it's just Brooke, I guess her calling me babe kind of shocked me but friends say that to eachother all the time.

As I made my way to the car, I started to relax a little bit, I remembered Brooke saying about the fans wanting a collab, she loves her fans the same way I love mine, this isn't for us, this is for them, there's no reason to be nervous.

"hey Steve thank you for picking me up" I smiled politely at the older man.

"Hailee you literally pay me to do this, you don't need to thank me every time" he chuckles.

Brooke's POV

I just got to the studio but I am a bit early because I wanted to make sure everything was ready. I always find it easier to write songs when I have a few instruments to mess around with aswell, I like to just play and go with the flow.

I went to grab an extra guitar just incase Hailee wants to use it, I don't know if she plays but I know it will be easier to have two if she does.

The door opens and I look up to see Laura, the lady in charge, "hey Brooke, Hailee is here" she gives me a small smile as Hailee walks past her.

"hi" Hailee said standing there awkwardly.

"hey" I reply, remembering our first conversation. "I just brought in a spare guitar, I wasn't sure if you played" I tried to ease the awkwardness, "thank you, I'm excited to be working with you by the way", she's so cute holy shit, "me too, come sit down and we can work on some stuff".

Hailee's POV

I came over and sat beside Brooke, I'm not sure why but I feel like my heart is going to jump out of my chest. "I had this idea for a song, I wrote a little bit of it earlier, maybe you could read it?"

"for sure" Brooke answered politely.

"that would sound so good as the chorus, maybe we can use this and build on to it" Brooke suggests.

"that would be great"

"okay cool, how about we start with something like tension, I need your attention" she adds on.

"yeah I like that, and then maybe tempo, get to that crescendo, I think that would sound cool because it's like..subtle you know" I start writing another chorus.

After about 4 hours we finished up the song, we might change a few things when it comes to recording it but right now it's exactly how we want it.

Brooke's POV

"Hailee, before we go, I think we should exchange numbers. so we can text about when we can record the song" I hope that wasn't weird, we're working together, obviously we'd have eachothers numbers, it's not weird-

"sure" Hailee replied sweetly cutting off my thoughts "bye Brooke"

"text me" I call out as she walks through the exit door.

okay, so for anyone who hasn't realised, the song they're writing is rendezvous by little mix, if you haven't heard it, i recommend it.
