United Disatance

I woke up in a panic. I'm back home in Iwatobi. After being in the big city of Tokyo it's good to go back to a regular life. At least for now. We all know that I will have to go back to Tokyo and sing.

I sighed as I started to calm down. I put on my new uniform as I chew down some breakfast. I lived alone so I don't have anything to really hide.

I skipped down the stairs and opened the door. I stepped out, smelled the fresh morning air and locked the door. It's been awhile huh?

I turn back to the sidewalk and take another deep breath in, almost forgetting to breath from what I saw. The lack of air brought me out of my daze. My friend...my half...Len.

Len Kagamine. The boy that was my all, until I had to move. Joy welled up inside of me just at the site of him. I couldn't hold back anymore. I ran all the way to him. Trying to conceal my identity so I can surprise him.

But as I got closer I saw another girl. She looked exactly like him and was wearing my uniform. Maybe me and Len are attending the same schools! Even though I didn't want to interrupt I couldn't resist.

I had to run up to him and say hi. I just had to.

I was finally behind him and at the last moment jumped on his back. Which caused him to stumble and fall.

"Get off of m..." Len exclaimed only resulting him to just stare off at the sight of me before he could finish his sentence.

I flashed him a smile while he was still to shocked to make a move. I turn back to meet the person he was walking with before and held out my hand for her to shake.

"Nakajima Gumi, Len-chan's childhood friend. Nice to meet you!" I say. Extending my hand further.

She grabs it.

"Kagamine Rin. Len's sister. Nice to meet you!" Rin says.

My eyes filled with excitement from the two words "Len's sister." But does this mean their parents got back together? That's even better.

I turn back to Len to see him flushed. I finally saw why. This whole time I had been sitting on top of him. I quickly lift myself up and extend a hand to him. His face seemed to cool down as I lifted him up.

"G-Gumi?" He asked with shock all around his face.

"Heh..kinda forgot to tell you I was comin back to town. Sorry about that." I said smiling nervously at him.

I start making my way to the station.

"Where are you goin?" Len asked giving me a confused look.

"To school obviously." I reply. And with that I grabbed both Rin's and Len's hands and run to the station dragging them behind me.

I felt my face heat up every time she and I made contact. Why did this happen. She and I would always hold hands back then.

A knot formed in my stomach. Did I like her?
