I followed Keith to his house, he let my in and told my to sit on the couch.

He sat across from me.

"Start talking"

I sighed.

"I told you I had to leave for your sake an mine, right?"

He stayed quiet.

"It was Cassandra"

Keith's expression changed from anger to shock.

"She's back?"

"Yeah, I had to leave to go deal with her, of course Nene and Darnell were with me"

"Well, why didn't you just take-"

I cut him off.

"That would've been dangerous, I just didn't want to see you get killed by her"

He uncrossed his arms.

"Is- is she gone?"

"For now, she is"

Keith sighed.

"Couldn't you have told me this back then?"

"I didn't have time-"

"You could've atleast left a text or something!"

I had no excuse.

Keith went to the door and opened it.

"I still can't forgive you, but... Just leave me alone right now, I'll think about it"

"Keith, listen-" I started.

"I don't want to hear it pico, please... A lot of years have passed since then, I need time to process" he stood next to the door his gaze refusing to meet mine.

What he said made sense so I couldn't object, I just got up and headed outside the door.

"I'll... See you later"

He looked the door behind me as I walked back home.

I was in my studio practicing for my new song, when I got a text from the group chat me, Nene and Darnell were in.

Darnell: I was about to ask that too.

Pico: it went as good as it can go?

Nene: did he finally reject your ass?

Darnell: NENE.

Nene: what? You can't say I'm wrong, we were both thinking this, Pico was so bad at the relationship thing, I felt bad for his ex lol

Darnell: bitch, read the room.

I closed my phone and looked blankly at the screen.

'Was it really that bad?'

It felt like I've been staring at the screen for 15 minutes.

I didn't know what to do, I should be practicing but what nene said really stuck in my mind, I really tried to be the best boyfriend but... Was it not enough?

I got him gifts, concert tickets, I celebrated every birthday, I never argued... Well scratch that, we definitely did, but what went wrong?

I grabbed the cold microphone stand to adjust it, and opened my mouth to sing.

It finally clicked, I was such a fucking asshole back then, ugh.

What kind of excuse is "I didn't have time"??

Not enough time to send a text but enough time to fuck around and become a famous rapper? Wow, Pico.

I paced around the living room for a few minutes running the conversation through my mind, how was Cassandra even alive? I thought she died way back in highschool, why would she even come back?

Sitting down on the couch my feet began to tap nervously, oh god what is she going to do?

I shook my head, now is not the time to be thinking about some crazy alien woman, now is the time to think about Pico... God I missed that piece of shit, but I don't think forgiving him will be easy, and what about my girlfriend?

Cherry is wonderful, even with a blood thirsty dad, but I... Sigh I don't know, I still have feelings for Pico even if my ego wont let me admit it out loud, but I've moved on, I can't just up and break up with her!

This is so frustrating!

Why did I have to see him again? I was so content with not seeing his face again for a long time.

I sighed again and went up to my room, today's been one heck of a ride, one that I don't want to ride again.
