I don't remember falling asleep on the couch but I woke up there.

It was morning.

Normally I won't be getting to sleep right about now, but now I was wide awake.
Though it was the first time I woke up in the morning so... Energetic .

'Cat's are nocturnal... right?' I decided to look it up on the phone uncle Z gave me.
'Hmm ... Cats are ...'
'Crepuscular?'
'So I'm mostly active at dawn and dusk?'
'Why didn't I notice that before?'
'Maybe it's because I've been running all night, so when I get back I just crash. '

'Yeah that makes sense.'

I was actively trying to keep my mind busy.
Analyzing my sleep habits wasn't going to do.

'I needed something to work towards.'
'Something to keep me going.'
'Something productive.'
'Something I've always wanted to do.'

But what?
I've never really had the opportunity to do anything like this.

I picked up my father's backpack, emptied it out and decided to start cleaning it up.
It had been forever since I last cleaned it.
But I took great care of it.
It was the only thing ,other than fuzzy memories , that I had from my birth father .

WAIT A DANM SECOND.
I thought of a great idea.
'What if I tried to find my dad!' I thought excitedly.
I stopped cleaning the backpack and grabbed an empty notebook .

I wrote down everything I knew about my father.

I didn't realize how little I actually knew about my birth father and some of the things I knew about him may have changed.
I ruffled my hair ,trying to think.
What about quirk genetics?
I started writing everything I knew about my quirk down.

Quirk: cat-like

Cat mutation (eyes, ears, tail, canines , wrists, ankles,and spine)

Gives passive cat like abilities and reflexes.

Claws that can completely retract and extend to three inches

Healing ability that removes any and all quirk effects no matter what the effect is.

Once that was done I wrote down everything I knew about my mothers quirk .

Quirk: luminous eye

Eye mutation (glows a greenish blue very brightly)
Allows night vision

My mothers mutation genetics was clear.
Mine just swapped around abit and took after a more cat like appearance.
But the healing ability .
That was strange.
I heard somewhere that animals lick there wounds but erasing the others quirk effects.
That's what through me off .

This left me with two options for my father's quirk.

A healing quirk
Or
An nullification quirk

That narrowed down my search quite a bit .

A middle aged man with black hair, black eyes, pail skin and either a healing quirk or a nullification quirk.

And both types of quirks were rare.
Very rare.
In fact there is only a handful of both in Japan.

Then I hit a road block.
Sense these people were so rare, there quirk information is normally kept confidential in the hero commissions database.

There was almost no way to get that information.

Almost.

I didn't want to call in a favor from uncle Z and it wouldn't hurt to build some connections down here.
