Picture this:

You are an 18 year old, female Twitch streamer with a fairly modest following across all of your socials; minimally, you pull a few hundred viewers per stream. It is late 2020 - September - and you are really invested in the Minecraft community, specifically the behemoth that is the Dream SMP; something about the story, creators, and community really strikes a chord with you. As such, when one Austin tweets out that he is looking for applications for Love or Host, you are quick to find out. Hopeful to meet your heroes, and maybe even find a little bit of love, you send in your application.

To your dismay, just a day later, you receive a direct message via Twitter.
