F o u r t y - T h r e e

𝓛oud chatter filled the main hall, chairs aligned on either side with a walkway in the middle. Everyone was sat in their seats and congratulating the new King, Haneul. His father was talking to him down at the steps of the King's throne with his mother holding onto his shoulders.

Yoongi thought the ceremony for the crowning was pretty cool if he was being honest. After last night with his mates, he was happy to be able to witness Haneul becoming King. The human's feelings were shared with all the supernaturals in the room, except for a certain bunch of people, the hunters.

It was hard to know that today was the day Doyun would strike. Yoongi never told Jimin and Jungkook about his and Haneul's plan, it would worry them too much. Besides he needed it to go smoothly and any mistakes couldn't be tolerated. Who knows what would happen if Doyun got his way? They needed to make sure it didn't happen.

Yoongi flinched when a hand touched his shoulder and he craned his head to look at Jungkook. The vampire was next to him on the right with Jimin on the other side, Hoseok was beside him on his left. It was less likely they would need to hide their status as mates for the time being. After the youngest confessed some of Doyun's plan, they thought there was no need for it.

"The plan will start soon, are you sure you'll be safe inside the castle?" Jungkook whispered softly, the human nodding his head slowly. "I'll be fine. Focus on stopping Doyun, for everyone's sake." Yoongi was given a hum of approval from the vampire before he turned away to speak to Jimin.

The younger looked up and he smiled, seeing Haneul walking over to them. He stopped in front of the human, offering his hand. "Shall we go? My father is planning to start the war now, we need you and Jin to be safe." Yoongi nodded and took the offered hand, standing up from his seat. He turned around, staring at both of his mates. "Be careful, for me."

Jimin nodded his head and Jungkook spoke up for the both of them, grinning at the human. "We'll be careful. We promise." The two of them held hands, a determined look on both of their faces. "We'll stop them now before it's too late." Yoongi giggled and nodded, waving goodbye to both of them.

He spun around and allowed Haneul to walk him out of the main hall to the royal living quarters. "Is Jinnie-hyung already in his room?" The younger asked quietly, receiving a quick nod from the King. "Yes, he'll be with one of the guards so he's safe. We need to start the plan...are you ready? It's going to be dangerous." The demon mumbled and squeezed his hand in reassurance.

Yoongi looked down at the ground, nodding to himself. "I'm ready. I'll stop the fighting and lure him into our trap. As long as he does what we want him to do." The youngest earned a light-hearted chuckle with the King opening his arm towards the path ahead. "Okay. Continue down this hallway until you see a white door. One of the guards is waiting for you, he'll take you out to the field once the battle has begun."

Yoongi looked down the hallway, his eyes narrowing. "Thank you, Haneul. I'll do my best." Haneul beamed with new pride and nodded his head gracefully. "And so will I, see you after, Yoongi." The King turned around on his heel before walking down the corridor while adjusting his suit. The younger followed shortly after, walking down the hallway in the opposite direction.

He fiddled with his sleeve and glanced around the area, paranoid. Yoongi was feeling this odd sense since this morning but he thought nothing of it. However, there was someone following him and he knew it. The tracker made it easier for them to find him, with someone following him they knew he betrayed Doyun and Minhyun.

The human quickened his pace and caught the sound of footsteps behind him. Yoongi spun around, narrowing his eyes when nothing was there. He was dealing with a ghost it seemed and his eyes diverted the hallway closely. It was stupid to believe he would be out of harm's way by now. The man turned, starting his trek back up to the place Haneul mentioned.
