Secret Development

Birds were talking outside.
Y/N could hear them.
They groaned because the birds wouldn't shut up.
"SHUT UP" they screamed.
The birds did stop.
Y/N layed there, suddenly they felt a body stirring next to them. They opened their eyes to see Obi moving himself in a comfortable position in their bed.
Obi was on their left side, he moved so he was facing them. His eyes were still closed.
Y/N was on their back but they flipped to their right so they could see the trees between the cracks of the curtains.
'I said we should take it slow but he's literally sleeping in my bed right now. One way of taking it "slow" me.'
They closed their eyes, planning of going to sleep again. More movement was felt next to them, a moment later Obi had moved himself to Y/N and put one his arms their waist, also held their left hand at the same time.
By now it has been a week since Obi's and Y/N's relationship started.
"Did I wake you?" Y/N asked tiredly.
"You did, but no wahala." He replied softly
"Obi... I know we just woke up but I think some of the Legends know about our relationship..."
He didn't say anything, all he did was stroke his thumb on Y/N's hand. Even though they were dating, Y/N had butterflies.
"You're heart is racing. Do you like when I stroke your hand~?" Obi teased.
"I guess so. Haha."
After a few minutes Obi moved himself away from Y/N and sat up.
"Who do you think who knows about us?" He asked, putting his head on his knees, staring at Y/N.
Y/N sat up too.
"We know Ramya knows. I think Loba and Kairi know, but also Tae."
"Tae is a genius, I'm not surprised if he knows. Loba is one of my closest friends, I really should tell her about us, but with some unknown reason I have a feeling I shouldn't. Ms Kairi on the other hand, I am unsure if she does know."
Y/N sighed. They were scared what would happen if the news broke out, how the other legends would react.
Obi saw the look on their face. He moved close to them and rubbed their back.
"Y/N biko don't overthink the future, you're creating fears for yourself." He said in a comforting way.
He kissed their head.
"You're right, I'm sorry." they put their head on his shoulder.
"Don't apologise."
Y/N removed their head and got up from the bed. They looked at the clock beside their bed, it read 07:56.
"Huh, it's not even 8 o'clock yet."
"That's good. What do you want to do today, my love?"
Y/N smiled at the name.
"We could go to some of the shops if you'd like that."
"That's a splendid idea." Obi said as he left the bed.
Y/N took off the pillows off the bed and started fixing the bed up, Obi helped them naturally.
"Thanks."
After that the couple entered the kitchen.
"Obi go sit down on the sofa there, I'll make breakfast."
"Can I help?"
"You don't have to. Go. Sit down."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes! Go sit down pretty boy! Do you like bacon?"
"I do..."
Obi felt defeated because Y/N didn't want him to help. Obi hasn't been in Y/N's house before, he's a little confused how they ended up sleeping together. He searched for the remote that was meant for the TV infront of him. It was on the floor, he picked it up and clicked the ON button. The TV was one of the fancy ones with built in channels, like Netflix, Disney+, Stan etc.
It was already on Netflix, being present with one profile that said Y/N. Surprisingly Disney and Netflix were still running, even centuries in the future.
"Is it alright if I go on your Netflix profile?" Obi asked loudly.
"Yes of course! I don't mind!" Y/N called back.
He went on the profile, unsure what to watch. It wasn't long before Y/N returned to Obi with two plates of equal pieces of bacon. "Here you go." They handed a plate to him, along with a fork and knife.
"Thankyou-- truly."
"It's really not an issue. Have you found something to watch?"
"No. Haha. I haven't."
"Hand me the remote, there's a show I want to keep watching."
Obi handed them the remote. Y/N quickly found the show they were looking for.
They both finished their breakfast pretty quickly.
"Are you done?"
"Yes. It was good. Really good."
"Thankyou. Hand me your plate."
"You made breakfast, I think I should at least do the dishes."
"No, you stay put." They said sticking their tongue out.
Obi sighed and handed them his plate.
Y/N walked back to the kitchen, placed the plates in the sink and turned on the tap.
Obi didn't realise until now that he was wearing a shirt and pants that weren't his. But yet they fit him perfectly. The clothes was fat of the scent that belong to Y/N, Obi sniffed them.
"Heh, these are definitely their clothes. They have style." He said to himself.
The sound of water stopped. Y/N returned, wiping their hands on their shirt.
"What time did you want to leave?" Y/N asked.
"Anytime you want."
Y/N looked at a clock that was in the room, the hands read "8:16"
"It's still pretty early. Could we just- I don't know... Cuddle for a bit?" They said innocently.
"Of course, come over here, my dear." Obi said with his arms open.
Y/N face blew up with a huge smile.
They went to Obi and hopped onto the sofa, into his arms.
They watched Y/N's show for ages, completely losing track of time. Randomly Obi had a urge to look at the time.
"Urm, Y/N? The time is now 10:27."
"Wait what?" They got off Obi and looked at the clock for themselves. He wasn't lying. It did really say 10:27. "We should go down now, you agree. Haha." They laughed.
"Haha. Yes"
"Wait, you don't have any clothes do you?"
"Oh, no I don't!-- Well, I'd have to admit. It was unexpected that we ended up sleeping together, anything could happen."
"I think I have something that could fit you."
Obi followed Y/N back to the bedroom.
They went to the large dresser in the room.
"Let's see"
The shuffled through some of the colourful clothes.
"No. No. Eesh, no. No. AH HA! Here we are!"
They pulled out a blue button up shirt that had flamingos on it. "I remember ordering this online and the size was wrong, I think it can fit you!"
Obi took the shirt and looked at it. He thought it was really nice.
"Now. Pants." Y/N said while opening another draw.
Y/N quickly found a good pair of red cargo shorts. "These should fit you! Same story as that shirt, ordered it online and the size was wrong. Haha."
Obi took the shorts, "where shall I get dressed?"
"Oh I haven't shown you anything in my house, have I? Follow me, I'll lead you to the bathroom."
He followed Y/N once more to the bathroom.
They left him be to do his business.

(I'm going to skip all of this because it's stupid and pointless)

The couple left the house, holding hands. It was warm outside. Y/N locked the door and they were off.
Where Y/N house was in a secluded area, but close to the busy part of the city.
"I'm sorry, I don't have a car yet. We're gonna have to walk."
"That's okay!"
They started wandering down the footpath. The couple didn't talk, all they did was hold hands and walked. Before they knew it they were infront of one of shopping centres.
'Loud.' Obi thought.
"What did you want to do first, my love?" He asked.
"We should go to one of the clothing stores to get you some clothes just in case you end up leaving the night in my bed." Y/N replied.
"Genius."

They went through the automatic doors, Obi was depending on Y/N to lead the way because he hadn't been in this shopping centre before. It only took them a few minutes, even having to move around people who were stubborn, to get to a shop with colourful signs. "Okay Obi! You should pick anything that picks your fancy, I'll buy"
"Oh, no. I oblige that I buy."
Y/N just gave Obi a funny look, they are buying.
Obi found a few clothes that fancied him. He declared he was going to buy them, Y/N rebelled and said they would. They came to a agreement that they were going to split it.
"You can be difficult sometimes Y/N"
"I was going to buy the clothes, humph"
Obi sighed and laughed.
They left the store. Y/N was thinking of where to go next. Before they could make a decision they heard a familiar sweet voice. "Is zat Y/N and Monsieur Edolasim? It is too! -- Tae, look who I found!"
"I'm coming, jeez you're incredibly fast for your size."
"Hello Natalie! Tae!"
"Bonjour! What a coincidence that we'd be united here!"
"Agreed!"
"Natalie, you need to stop running off without me! You know I hate running!"

(Note: Natalie was wearing a turtleneck sweater, while Tae was still wearing his jacket but with a shirt that had a Nessie on it.)

"What are you two doing here anyway?" Y/N asked
"Oh, just some shopping. We were going to head off for lunch now. Hey! Do you want to join us?" Natalie giggled.
"That's a lovely idea!" Obi said.
"I know a good reztaurant not far from here. Follow me!"
"Don't run. Please." Tae declared.
The four stuck together until they made it to said restaurant Natalie knows.
"This is it. Tae and I have been here many times."
"Looks fancy, is it expensive?" Y/N worried.
"No it isn't. The food is pretty average, so it wouldn't be expensive." Tae told Y/N.
Obi looked around the chairs to find 4 empty ones. "There are some unclaimed chairs there. Should we sit?"
"Yez. Then we'll be together." Natalie said happily.
They sat and took a menu each. Y/N quickly skimmed through it and saw {Y/N's favourite cooked food}
'Aw hell yeah I'm buying that, it's cheap too.'
The others took a little longer to choose what they wanted.
"Have we all chozen what we wanted?"
They all agreed and said what they want.
"Okay, I will go and order them!" Natalie got up and went to the counter. She returned shortly after with a number.
"Oh excuse me, I need to use the bathroom. I'll return shortly."
They all said 'okay' in their own way.
Tae watched Natalie walk off to the toilet, making sure she was out of sight.
"Alright. I need to ask you two something..."
"Go ahead?"
"Are you two dating or something?-- Because I saw you, Y/N, kiss Obi's cheek yesterday in Kings Canyon. Let alone that you wander off somewhere with each other."

They grew quiet.

"I cannot lie. We--- Yes. Yes we are."
