Recovery

Loba felt terrified.
She knew Obi wasn't going to hurt her, but his aura was horrific.

"Go away."
He said.

Loba turned and ran without hesitation.
Obi got up, tears still falling down his face.
He clenched his fists.
He swung at the window that lightened his area, breaking the window.
Somehow it didn't break his hand.
Ajay and Ramya still sat, unsure of what to do. They've never seen him like this. They've never seen him so hurt. So angry yet so miserable.
"Obi... I get ya angry but you really need to calm down." Lifeline tried to sooth.
"How can I calm down?! Y/N is hurt and I'm not with them! I have no idea if they're in serious pain." He cried.
"Why did Loba think it was okay...? Why... I trusted her." He broke down crying again.
"Obi, all I can suggest is to go home when the ship lands." Ramya said quietly.
He agreed by nodding his head.
"I know it's a bad time to ask, but what is up with you and Y/N?" Lifeline asked.
"We're dating. This is been going on for over a week now, my friend. I'm sorry, I should've told you." Even though he could barely breathe from his crying, he managed to spit that out.
"Save your breath. At least I know why they so important to you now."
Obi slowly calmed down. He came to senses. He knows that his crying won't do anything for Y/N. He looked around.
"Wait. Did I break this window? Oh my... What is wrong with me..." He said to himself.
"You did it in the moment. It'll be replaced, don't worry about it." Ramya said.
Obi looked at his hands, they didn't hurt.
He felt ashamed from outburst, but he knew that he couldn't control it. His relationship with Y/N is just too important to him and if he were to lose it, he wouldn't know what he would do.
He hates himself because he got violent. It's not in his nature. But he's glad he didn't hurt anyone. Especially his friends.
"I am so sorry. I put an outburst onto you guys. I'm sorry that you had to see me this way." Obi said.
"It's okay, really. It's nice that you've calmed down." Ajay replied.
"No, it's not okay. I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry."
"Stop apologising. We know that ya care for Y/N, this reaction is natural." Ajay tried to sooth Obi.
"But it was scary." Ramya said, trying to lighten up the mood.
"It must've been. Haha..." Obi got what she was trying to do, but he wasn't sure if he would kill the mood from his intense worry for Y/N.

It is 3 weeks into the future.
Obi was by the bed where Y/N's body lied. Several tubes were connected to their body. Despite the the heartbeat monitor being right there, Obi still liked to hear Y/N's separately.
He sat quietly, reading and thinking to himself.
He wasn't aloud to touch Y/N, only aloud to look at them.
They had large dark bruising on the right side of their head. Because of it they had to get their head shaved. Obi could barely look at the bruising because it made him feel miserable.
Loba had come into the hospital a few times to gift things, such as flowers, stuffed animals and cards saying how she is sorry.
Obi has read the cards. He's slowly forgiving her. They've haven't talked since the day this disaster happened.
And Obi hasn't returned to The Games for his mental health.

'Ugh, it's so bright.'
Their eyes opened slightly. Small tears were in their eyes because it was so bright.
'Why... Why can't I feel anything? Everything is so numb. Oh shit, Obi. Obi are you here?' They wanted to leave the bed but couldn't. They looked around and saw a figure sitting next to them in the corner of their eye.
'Obi? Is that you?'
Obi had a weird feeling to look up, so he did. He saw tired eyes looking at his direction.

"Y/N! You're awake. Thank lord. Oh Y/N..."

'He looks tired.
He's smiling but he looks like he's been crying.'
Y/N wanted to ask if he's okay but they couldn't move a muscle. All they could do is breathe and move their eyes.
"I will be right back. Okay?"
He had to leave to tell a nurse that Y/N had opened their eyes.
'What happened? I don't remember. But the side of my head is throbbing.'
It wasn't long before Obi was back with a nurse.
"I'm so glad that you're awake Y/N, I was dreading that you wouldn't. The last few weeks have been... Lonely."
'Weeks?! What happened to me, Obi, tell me, please! What happened? Why am I numb? Why am in a hospital?'
Y/N's face has changed, they looked distressed.
The nurse was writing on a clipboard and was fiddling with the tubes that were connected to Y/N.
"Ssh, you're okay. There was an incident. You're okay now Y/N, I promise... (Quietly) This is will never happen again... Do you remember what happened?"
Y/N just looked at him confused, because they really did not know what happened.
Obi softly grabbed their hand, Y/N can't tell that he has because they cannot feel. How sad.
"Loba, urm... I don't know why or how, but she hurt you... I'm so sorry that I wasn't with you. I'm sorry I wasn't there to stop this from happening..."
The nurse carefully removed a tube that was in Y/N's left wrist and placed a band-aid with medical alcohol on it on the wound the removed tube had made. The tube was inserting fluid that made Y/N's body numb.
"Okay. Mr Edolasim."
Obi turned.
"In around 7 hours Ms/Mr/Mx {Y/N'S LAST NAME} will be able to move their body. I'm trusting you to aid them until then, because we're fairly busy."
"O-of course"
The nurse left the room.
"7 hours. That's around --- 2 o'clock in the morning. I will risk to my sleep for you Y/N."
'Obi I know you've haven't slept in days. Please sleep. I don't want you to be sick.'
All Y/N could do was look at him.

An hour has gone past. There was no communication between Obi and Y/N. Obi kept slumping forward, he wanted to sleep but he didn't want to leave Y/N alone if something happened. Again.
Y/N could finally feel their fingers and their face.
Y/N held Obi's hand tightly and mumbled, "please sleep."
This made him put his head up. He had to think what he had to say.
"I- I will come back tomorrow."
He got up slowly, he kissed Y/N's lips before leaving.
He didn't want to leave but he was glad Y/N told him to sleep. It was only a matter of time before their lives could go back to normal.
