The Broken Hero

Chapter 2

"Problem children, this is your new classmate," Mr. Aizawa said as a white-haired teen walked into the classroom. "Please introduce yourself Killua," Gon's eyes widened as he realized who it was. Killua sighed. 

  "My name is Killua Zo-" Killua was cut off by someone. 

  "KILLUA!!"

  Killua immediately turned in the direction of the familiar voice. Gon jumped out of his seat and ran over to give Killua a hug. Killua's face began to redden. . 

  "Ah! Let me go B-baka!" Killua said as he started squirming in Gon's hands, trying to pry his hands off. The green-haired teen laughed and smiled smiled. 

  "Killua I can't believe it's you!" Gon exclaimed with the largest smile plastered on his face. 

  "Yeah no duh!" Killua smiled as he crossed his arms. Killua paused and was silent for a moment. Then suddenly he began hysterically laughing. "How the hell did you get your hair to stay down? You look like an idiot!" Gon puffed his cheeks out. 

  "Ahem..." Aizawa spoke, catching the teens attention. "I don't know what's going on.. but Midoriya go back to your seat. Killua, you sit next to Jiro." Killua sighed and looked at his best friend. 

"Who the fuck is Jiro?" Killua asked. 

"Language," Aizawa gave a glare and reminded Killua.

  Gon laughed then responded, "She's the girl with purple hair!" 

  Killua scanned the room for a girl with purple hair. "Oh, found her!" The white-haired teen said as he began walking over the empty seat next to her.

  Gon couldn't wait to talk to his best friend after class. He kept glancing at Killua's direction and smiling. The bell rang and Gon instantly stood up and  sprinted over to Killua's desk. Killua looked up at Gon who was now standing in front of his desk. A bored expression was on the white-haired teen's face.

  "What do you want?" Killua sighed. 

  Gon smiled and responded playfully, "I haven't seen you in 4 years and this is what you're going to say to me now?" Killua laughed. 

"Well what should I say then?" The white-haired teen asked as he aggressively shoved papers into his backpack.

  Gon was about to say something but suddenly he was interrupted by a certain short brown-haired girl. 

  "Deku-kun, let's hang out later!" She said as she walked over. She smiled at Killua. "Oh, hi I'm Ochako Uraraka! Nice to meet you!" Her hand extended in front of the white-haired teen. Killua just blankly starred at her. There was a moment awkward silence between the three.

  "O-oh! Uhm Uraraka, I don't think we can hang out today. I'm going to hang out with Killua today!" Gon said as he broke the silence. 

  "Oh okay! Well, you guys have fun then!" Uraraka said as she walked away and joined Iida and the others.

  As the two walked towards a candy store, something came to Killua's mind. "Hey Gon, is that girl with the brown short hair your girlfriend or something?" Gon looked confused for a moment. 

  "What?! I don't like girls though!"

  "What? But I thought you did. Weren't you and Retz dating at one point?" Killua asked in confusion. 

  "No, we we're just friends. Besides I like killua..." Gon muttered the last sentence. 

  "Huh? What did you say?" Killua asked not catching what he said. Gon smiled. 

  "Oh! It's nothing. By the way we're here!" Gon said as he pointed to the candy store that was in front of them. Killua grinned. Gon sighed. Although he bought candy for Killua yesterday, they both ate that on their walk to the store.

The two were heading back to the dorms after hanging out for a few hours. "Wait, why do we have to go back so soon?" Killua asked looking at the time. 

  "Well, our curfew time is 7:30. If we're out past that we'll get in trouble." Gon said as they arrived in front of the school. They checked their student ID and got through the gates. 

  "Aww man! I also wanted to go to that skateboard shop!" Killua said in a disappointed tone. Gon laughed.  

  "You're going to make me go broke Killua!" The two entered the UA dorms and went to Gon's room, "That was fun although we just spent all my allowance for the next 6 months. By the way, how's everyone back home?" Gon asked as he flopped down onto his bed. 

  "Oh, Well, uhmm... Kurapika's almost killed the entire phantom troupe, Leorio became a doctor, and Alluka is living with Aunt Mito," Killua said with a sigh. 

  Gon smiled, "That's good to see that everyone is doing okay!" Silence filled the room. "You know... I'm glad your here with me Killua. I've missed you." 

"Yeah.. me too," Killua's eyes made contact with Gon's, "It's been so long..." Gon slightly smiled as he looked down. "You know, I'm going to head to my room. You look tired so get some rest. I'll see you tomorrow," Killua said as he walked out of Gon's room. Gon sighed as he changed into his pajamas and got under his covers. 

  'I can't believe I'm with Killua right now! I'm so happy that he's here with me!" Gon thought to himself as he began to drift off into sleep.

  Gon suddenly woke up in a hospital bed, He looked around. "Killua?" Gon called, hoping his best friend was nearby. Suddenly, it hit him. 'It was just a dream...'
