Chapter 3 : Nightmares

Vi and Caitlyn walk through the front door of the house, all the Enforcers had left by then, Vi walked up the stairs walking to Powder's room. Placing her down softly on the bed, Vi walked to the bathroom getting a wet rag washing off Powder's makeup. Vi sat next to Powder all night while Caitlyn found a place to hide her weapons. Laying in bed with Powder Vi looked over her seeing scars on her wrist from when she was with Silco. All this did was make Vi feel worse about herself leaving Powder.

"Why did you leave me!" Powder yelled out to her sister who had just punched her causing Powder's nose to bleed. Vi turned, grabbing Powder's face, yanking it towards her own, "Because you're a JINX, Mylo was right." Powder watched trying to speak. Between the crying and her face stinging from Vi's punch, Powder just sat there. "Violet PLEASE." Vi spat on the ground kicking Powder in the chest before walking away. "VIOLET PLEASE, PLEASE COME BACK!"

Powder's chest ached from the kick yelling for her sister, Vi turned around facing Powder, "Shut up you fucking Jinx!" Powder watched as Vi yelled at her and walked away into the shadows. Powder sobbed barely able to contain herself, just then Silco walked up to her. Powder looked up at him as he took the blade in his hand, swinging it at Powder's face.

Powder jumped forward screaming, Vi looked over quickly pressing her down on the pillows behind her, "Powder, Powder. Deep breaths." Powder inhaled and exhaled slowly realizing where she was. Powder quickly wrapped her arms around Vi holding her tight. "I'm sorry." Vi said rubbing Powder's back, as she laid back down she looked out the window. It was still dark outside, "What time is it?" Powder said looking at Vi.

"Um," Vi looked at a clock that was on the bed side table. "7:30." Powder sighed, putting her hand on her face dragging it down. Powder looked down at herself, "God I forgot how much I hated these clothes." Vi smiled, "We have your other ones." Powder pushed herself off the bed going to her bag. "Well, could you maybe." Vi nodded leaving the room and shutting the door behind her. Powder dug through her bag filled with clothes she had taken from Caitlyn.

Pulling out the onesie Powder shrieked with excitement. After undressing she looked at herself in the mirror. "Hmm." She turned to the side inspecting herself, nodding as she picked up the onesie, slipping it on. Pulling the zipper up she looked at herself again. Powder sat on her bed thinking of Ekko, before lying down she turned off the light. "Goodnight Little Man." She said to herself as she slowly began to fall asleep.

Powder shot up from her bed in sweats panting as she looked around. She had another night terror. Cooling down she hopped out of bed walking into the bathroom. Turning on the sink she splashed water onto her face as she stared at herself in the mirror, taking a deep breath as she walked out of the bathroom. Walking to the window she sat in the window looking at the sun rise over the council building.

A loud explosion erupted soaring through Piltover. Powder looked around confused hearing the explosion. Just then the alarms started going off sending Piltover into madness as Enforcers ran through the streets. Approaching the bridge where they saw the blockade completely destroyed with all Enforcers dead. Vi busted into Powder's room with a worried look on her face. Powder looked over confused as Vi ran to her. "Are you hurt?" Powder shook her head not understanding what was going on. "Ok, stay here. Don't leave, just stay here." Powder nodded as Vi ran out into the hallway.

"What's going on?" Powder asked herself looking out the window, towards the direction of the bridge over houses there was a huge amount of smoke rising into the air. Powder ran over to her clothes unzipping her onesie and began putting on her usual clothes. Putting on her top and skirt she climbed down the side of the house out of the window defying Vi's orders. Running through Piltover Powder finally made her way to the bridge.

There were about 50 Enforcers there, walking around the Enforcers from the side she saw a hole in the bridge around 30 feet long. She gasped looking at the hole which looked like it had evaporated. Powder felt a hand on her shoulder, turning back ready to fight. She made eyes with Ekko. Putting her hands down she looked up at Ekko. "You know what happened?" Ekko said Powder snapping out of her trance, "No, I don't." She said, looking away from Ekko.

"Hey, I'm sorry about trying to bring you to the Firelights." Powder turned looking at him, "No it's fine. I shouldn't have run away like that." Ekko sighed, "I understand where you're coming from." Powder looked down embarrassed by herself. Ekko gently places his hand on her chin moving her head up, "I love you Powder." she smiles looking back at his brown eyes. "I know." Ekko takes his hand, putting it behind her head, rubbing it.

Powder pushing herself off the ground kisses Ekko on the cheek before landing back down rubbing her head into his chest for warmth. Powder yawns, stretching her arms out as she wraps them around Ekko's back. Ekko crouches down putting his arm under her legs lifting her up, as he walks away from the bridge holding Powder she smiles looking up at him. "Thanks Boy Savior." Ekko chuckles, "No problem Pow-Pow."

Ekko walked up the stairs of the Kirraman estate Powder wrapped around his arm as the two stepped up to the front door. "Well, here's your stop." Powder sighed, "I mean, you could stay." Ekko rolled his eyes, "I'd have to get clothes." Powder held onto his hand with her two hands. "Oh come on, just sleep in what you got without the jacket." Ekko rolled his eyes, "Alright fine." Powder jumped up and down.

"Alright, come on." Powder opened the door, Ekko gasped as he looked around the main hall of the home. "We're up here." Powder runs up the stairs followed by Ekko. Opening the door Ekko walked into Powder's room, "Fancy." Powder laughed running over to her bag pulling out her onesie. "Alright I'll be right back." She ran into the bathroom, closing the door. Ekko began taking off his clothes wearing only his shorts under his jeans.

He walked over sitting on the other side of the bed stretching as he laid down on the bed moving himself under the covers, Powder kicked down the bathroom door running and jumped into bed in her onesie. "Wow, you sleep in that?" Powder nodded with a smug look on her face. "Oh wow, that does not cover up." Powder crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Well you don't have anything covering you." Ekko just shook his head, "You know, I could get used to this." Powder smiled scooting closer to Ekko wrapping her arm around his chest.

Ekko moved his body facing Powder as he kissed her on her forehead. Before closing his eyes, wrapping his arms around her. Powder turned her body facing the same direction as Ekko putting her back side into his front side in a fetus position still with Ekko wrapped around her. Closing her eyes, Powder slowly drifted off falling asleep in Ekko's arms.
