Ayanokouji POV

The bell rang as Mashima-sensei said his farewell to the class, everything seems like what I expected from normal classes, aside from Hoshinomiya-sensei giving me too much attention, I unintentionally sighed remembering her class earlier. 

"Tired already? It's only lunch break."

My seatmate Onodera commented, noticing me sigh.

"Hoshinomiya-sensei's constant attention on me was quite troublesome."

"Looks like you can't handle your popularity Leader-kun."

Apparently the person seated behind me decided to join in the conversation. She had long black hair held in a ponytail, and an aloof gaze and teasing smile. 

"Leader-kun?"

"Yeah! Sounds nice right? I do know your full name if you're wondering Ayanokouji-kun, mine's Ichihashi Ruri.

I nodded at her as I mentally thanked her for saving me the trouble of asking her name, although I don't think the nickname is necessary. 

"Nice to meet you Ichihashi, but what do you mean by 'my popularity'?"

This was my first day at school, so I was confused when she implied that I could be popular.

"Are you serious?"

Onodera questioned me with a dumbfounded look on her face, but I wasn't joking. I tiled my head slightly at her to let her know I was seriously confused, but that just made her more dumbfounded, even Ichihashi began to giggle.

"I bet you'll be in the top five of the rankings in no time."

"Rankings? Does this school release release evaluations of its students monthly? I was not informed."

I voiced out another question at Ichihashi's reveal of a ranking existing, if such a thing does exist then evaluating the other classes' abilities would become easier, although I feel like my speculation was wrong since Ichihashi just giggled at me again.

"It's nothing that serious Leader-kun, its just something the female student body of ANHS made. Only female students can participate and vote as well, here I'll show you!"

Ichihashi leane over her seat to show me the rankings on her phone. It was ver well made, containing information like name, class and even pictures of the male student population. There was even discussion threads and different categories to vote for, some listed was hottest, most athletic, richest, those who should die... okay lets not look too deep into it. I wonder if this was  common practices for normal students.

"And you two participate in voting on this rankings?"

I looked at both of them, curious about their answer.

"Pretty much."

"When I'm bored."

I guess this was pretty normal since both of them answered me nonchalantly. I looked at both of them again, a new question popped-up in my mind.

"Do you think the guys made a similar rankings for the female students?"

"That's disgusting."

"Only perverts would do that."

Onodera answered clearly with disgust on her face while Ichihashi wore a smile that didn't reach her eyes...Apparently men ranking women was considered a vile act... I somehow feel wronged upon that revelation.
