Sunghoon was, understandably, panicking.

It’d been exactly thirty seconds since the alarm had gone off. That meant he had two minutes at most to get up and put some pants on, before his son got into the room demanding for them to get up. He didn’t even know where his clothes had ended up the previous night and now he had to find them in the dark. What was worse, Heeseung hadn’t even flinched at the alarm which meant he’d have to deal with it all on his own. Unless, of course, their son decided he wanted Heeseung to get up first and make breakfast. That was usually the case, but that didn’t mean Sunghoon was any calmer because of it.

Luckily, and just a moment before the door to the room opened, Sunghoon managed to find Heeseung’s sweatpants and put them on. He wasn’t particularly fond of not wearing any underwear, but it’d have to do for the moment.

“Papa!” Their five-years-old son shouted as soon as he walked into the room. “Breakfast!” Honestly, giving how Heeseung and him were, Sunghoon was surprised how energetic their son had turned out to be early in the morning.

On the other hand, their little boy was asking for Heeseung, so at least he wouldn’t be suffering alone.

“Hey, baby, papa is still asleep,” Sunghoon said softly.

“But I’m hungry, can I wake papa up?” He asked, as if Sunghoon ever told him not to wake up Heeseung.

“Yes,” Sunghoon nodded.

He hadn’t expected for their son to literally jump on top of the bed, crushing Heeseung in the process. Sunghoon was surprised, but he couldn’t say that didn’t do the job. Heeseung was awake and confused in less than a second.

“Papa, breakfast,” he repeated, this time directly into Heeseung’s face.

“Breakfast?” Heeseung asked, trying to process the words.

“Byeongho, why don’t you go get ready and wait in the kitchen while papa gets up? He’ll make breakfast in a minute,” Sunghoon said, taking pity on Heeseung. He pouted wanting to stay there a little longer, but nodded anyway and dashed out of the room.

“It’s way too early…” Heeseung groaned. “When will he start wanting to sleep in?”

“We have to get up anyway, plus he has to go to kinder,” Sunghoon pointed out, even if he was wondering just the same. Now with the lights on Sunghoon managed to find his clothes and threw Heeseung’s at him. “You should start on that breakfast,” Sunghoon told him, but Heeseung simply got under the covers again.

“What if we just stay in today and do nothing?” He said, words muffled by the covers.

“What if you get up and make your son breakfast?” Sunghoon said, Heeseung didn’t move or answer, but soon sighed and got up.

Now changed, Sunghoon walked over to the bathroom to wash up a bit and then went over to the kitchen where his son was supposed to be. But he wasn’t there. He almost started panicking again when he heard giggles coming from the living room. He remained tense as he realised there was more than one person in the living-room, but quickly relaxed once he caught a familiar scent lingering in the air.

“Shhh, he’ll hear us…” He heard Sunoo’s unmistakable voice.

“Now, who’ll hear you?” He asked, looking directly at his son who couldn’t hold back his laughter.

“No! You found us!” Byeongho cried in laughter, before he ran away to hide behind the sofa. That’s how Sunghoon realised Riki had come with Sunoo. It shouldn’t have been a surprise, but it was too early for Sunghoon’s brain to be that logical yet.
