"So you're ditching our shopping trip to stand outside in the freezing cold to watch sweaty guys run around like children kicking a ball up and down some grass. I mean, I could do that." Maddie shrugged, watching me as I paced around my apartment getting ready for the game. I put on my Chelsea shirt with a black top underneath with my skinny jeans and my nike blazers. It won't even be that cold when you're too busy getting involved and screaming at the pitch. Besides, I'm so excited. I know it's just a match but it's been forever since I've been to one.
"I'd love to see you try attempt football Maddie." I laughed at the image in my head of her running around trying to kick a ball. Maddie's so girly, as if she would be good at football.
"Well, I haven't tried football before because I'm too busy doing important stuff with my life." She said proudly, I giggled.
"Like shopping?" I raised an eyebrow as I stopped rushing around and stared at her sitting happily eating the entire content of my fridge, "And never being at your own house?" I laughed.
"You so get me!" She grinned, stuffing her mouth with marshmellows, "Is it cool if I hang here while your gone, I seriously need ot get my own place."
"No it's not 'cool' Maddie." I grabbed my bag from the table and began walking to the door, she closely followed me still hugging the bag of marshmellows under her arm.
"Fine." She said, "But I'm taking the marshmellows."
Before I could even answer she stormed out of the door, I chuckled as I locked the door behind me and headed outside my apartment where the boys should be waiting. I honestly don't see why George is coming, I swear he doesn't really follow football. I mean, he watches if he has to but I don't know I never had him down for a live football match type. I guess there's stuff about everyone that no one knows.
"Wow." I gasped as we got to the stadium. It might be worth adding that we have the best seats in the entire place, sat up here in one of the boxes which only celebrities can go in. The view of the pitch was incredible.
"We better win." Josh rubbed his hands together as we both took out seats, George was staying quiet and by what it seemed kept giving me a glare everytime I spoke to Josh...
"I know!" I agreed, "They need to seriously get a manager and keep him though."
Josh and I continued to football talk whilst we waited for the game to start, George hadn't said anything which was a little odd I guess. I didn't let it bother me though if he wanted to be complicated, we're not even together at the moment so yeah.
The game begun and already my voice was beginning to go even though it had only started ten minutes ago. Josh and I were jumping up from our seats every few seconds to scream at the players and maybe some inappropiate words we may have screamed but I won't go over that. It's really cool how everyone gets so involved, excluding grumpy George right now, and everyone's chanting along songs and screaming words of encouragement and well...not so encouragement.
"How could you miss that you fucking dick!" I screamed causing a few looks to be shot at me, although it was all good becuase they were all probably thinking the same thing as me, just not expressing it in such an agressive tone.
"For fuck sake just kick it!" Josh soon shouted after me, getting another few glares at us causing me to laugh at how into this game we were getting by now.
"How did he even miss that?" I slapped Josh, taking my anger on the game out on him.
"Geeez it's not my fault!" Josh laughed, "But seriously I'm going to walk out in a-"
"YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!" Josh and I both jumped up and screamed in unison along with all the other fans. Josh and I both high fived eachother like one thousand times in a row then jumped and hugged eachother. A friendly meaningless hug before you all wonder. I looked over to George who was by now clenching his fists, I wonder what his problem is?
"I swear if they miss this kick I will slap someone!" I stated, as Josh and I both sat on the edge of our seat and waited for the player to kick the ball, "YEAAAAAA- NOOOOO!" I screamed, expecting it to go in. I jumped up and began shouting again. Josh stood up too, I for not much reason at all slapped his arm.
"What was that for?" Josh grabbed his arm and laughed.
"I said if they miss I'll slap someone...so I did." I chuckled.
At the moment I saw George rise from his chair and storm out of the exist. Josh and I both shot a confused look at eachother, it was almost half time anyway so maybe I should just go after him.
"I'll go see if he's okay." I said to Josh, running out of the exist to follow George.
When I got out I saw George sitting outside the stadium on a bench. I rolled my eyes and laughed as I walked over to him.
"What's got into you?" I chuckled.
He looked up from staring at his lap and wasn't laughing which was probably my hint to stop.
"You move on fast then." He sulked.
"What do you- Ohhhh." I awkwardly said, "You don't think I like Josh do you?"
"Well yeah. I saw how you two have been acting all afternoon. Oh yay they scored let's hug. Oh no they lost I will now playfully slap you on the arm." He mocked, making me laugh. It was hard to keep a straight face seeing him angry, it was cute though. Is it weird it's adorable that's he's jealous?
"You're so jealous!" I teased him, pinching his cheeks. He brushed me off although I could see him trying not to smirk.
"I'm not. We're not dating." He pointed out.
"I guess not..." I whispered. After a little awkward silent I held my hand out, "Come on. If I promise to stop being flirty or whatever will you promise to actually pretend you're enjoying yourself?"
He laughed, "Sure. But you have to stop embarrassing me with your swearing first!"
"No promises." I winked as we walked back into the stadium. I'm glad I didn't promise because within the first ten seconds of walking back in I had probably swore towards the field about twenty times...
