It's been three days since she last saw her blonde neighbor and she was starting to get nervous. He hasn't answered her text message from yesterday.
Y/N didn't have time to sit and wait any longer and thoughts about her lifespan started straining her mind. Many questions swirled around her brain, until she heard loud familiar knocking on the wooden window frame one evening.
She goes towards the sound, seeing him, she lets him in without a single word. His gaze was clouded, troubled.
"What happened? Was it something at school?", Y/N asks away while closing the window, her eyes following his typically hunched silhouette. When a certain routine breaks, it only leaves you thinking all sorts of scenarios.
Her eyes held concern and she couldn't help but nervously fidget her fingers. Not noticing, she cut her cuticle and started to bleed.
He looks at her worried expression and then down to her hand, he swiftly took her by the wrist as to stop her anxious movements and for her to notice what she accidentally did.
"Oh", she stares at her finger from which the red droplet glided downwards.
It wasn't anything serious, but enough for her to wonder how can such a small cut make so much blood. He quickly went to her bathroom finding some cotton, alcohol and bandaids.
"Why are you quiet?", she asks another question while being seated on the floor with him. Despite his rough nature, he was gentle while treating her little cut."I'm focusing, shut up"
"This isn't nuclear science you know..."
He tapes the bandaid on and drops her hand into her lap.
"It's nothing, okay?", his voice rasped through the air, "Just dumb stuff"She saw through him by the way his eyes shifted.
It wasn't anything dumb like he said.
He found himself trapped in constant adomania, future that came way too quicker than planned.
Nothing of this was planned.Authority got the grip, the law held him in place.
He couldn't believe that the thing he was deemed to respect was something that will wash her away. Just because of those stupid villains that somehow made a path to her being well remained marked as 'unstable product'.
The law forbid it and the cure would be locked up for a long time until it was tested completely. That's what they told him and that's what made him lock himself from inside
He couldn't do anything.
The solution that kept him going crumbled apart.
He fought for greater good, to become a hero and save those who need to be saved, to defeat the evil, but her sickness was something he could not win against"Sad eyes don't suit you Katsuki"
She read the expression of defeat on his face remarkably, it was quite common for her.
She knew he tried
His world shattered to dust.-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
