"I hate that things always go like this" you said in a sad, faint tone while opening the front door of the house.

You were inside now. It was winter. You hung your coat and your hat and made your way to the living room.

"I'm home everyone" you said loudly hoping someone would listen, because you didn't see anyone around. Going to the kitchen to get yourself a glass of water, you sat on the counter, resting a lil. (it's the best honestly)

Then you heard footsteps towards you. "Zoro?" you said without turning around.

"Oh y/n it's you. Your home late." he said nonchalantly. Closing your eyes, you sighed, head hung down.

Observing your reactions, zoro got a hunch that something might have gone wrong. Moving closer to the counter, he asked: "I thought you were supposed to leave work at 9pm but now it's almost 2am. Y/n, did something bad happened?"

(let's suppose for the sake of the oneshot, that zoro didn't fall asleep till 2am that night, waiting for you)

"I'm sorry" you said in a drowned tone.
Zoro was... surprised. He never saw you like that. That state of yours ached through his heart and left millions and millions of scratches.

"D-did something bad happened to you?" He asked again thinking about the worst. You stayed silent for a moment and then you decided to open up to him.

"I've been working really hard today. I wanted to finish my report before 8pm so I could've leave early but at the way to my boss's office a girl spilled coffee on my papers and even cursed. I-I didn't know what to do so I told my boss about it, but little did I knew that she was his personal secretary (?)"

Calming your shaking voice for a little bit, you continued saying: "He told me to start my report again if I didn't wanted to be fired. I started again and it took more time and when I finished it, it was already 1:35. After handling him my work, he started cursing at me, a lot."

"What?!" Zoro said surprised, anger starting to burn his brain. Grinning his teeth and clutching his firsts, he barely even contained himself. You continuing the rest of your sentence, got him out of his fuming thoughts.

"I then quitted my job. Didn't think twice about it. But honestly, I don't think I could've been able to continue working at that company. "

Silence. You didn't even knew how you felt that moment. Millions of thoughts were crossing your head but almost none of them made sense. Meanwhile zoro was irritated at your shitty boss. How could anyone in their right mind insult their best employee?

He turned around to see you dozen off, looking the kitchen's wall. 'That bastard son of a bitch will pay for what he did. I'll make him pay' zoro though for the last time regarding your ex boss. Turning to you, he let his hands rest on your shoulders and said:

"Y/n, I know you're feeling a lot of emotions right now. Go take a shower upstairs. It'll calm you down. Chopper is in the room but maybe he fell asleep." he said smiling just a little bit, softly.

"I'll prepare your clothes, just go and take a relaxing bath ok? I'll head out for some snacks. I'll be back fast" he said as both of you walked to your room.

When you opened the door, there he was, your cuties friend, chopper. He was fast asleep as zoro said. Going quietly up to him, you rubbed his head and placed a soft kiss on his forehead (aww)

Poking your shoulder (lightly) without making a noise, zoro signaled you to the bathroom, he prepared the bath and let your clothes on the hanger. Moving his hands like this ☞☞ to the door, he mouthed that he was going outside.
