"Tsukki!" Yamaguchi called to his friend with a wave. Tsukishima looked at him with sleepy eyes and grunted at him, moving to walk next to him. Yamaguchi was used to his friend not being a morning person under any circumstances so he just hid his giggles.

They walked to school together in silence, with Yamaguchi just people watching and waving to classmates that he knew, meanwhile Tsukishima glared at anyone that had the audacity to even look at him with his music blasting in his ears. It took way longer than it should have to get to school because halfway Yamaguchi realized he forgot his bento at home and had to stop at the Sakanoshita store.

Tsukishima muttered under his breath the entire time while waiting at the register for Yamaguchi. "Oi, Tsukishima, stop your muttering you're making ME grouchy," Ukai muttered from behind his magazine. Tsukishima glared at the cover of the Volleyball Monthly hard enough that it would have started smoking if Yamaguchi hadn't turned up right afterward. He paid for his sandwich and onigiri quickly and pushed Tsukishima out the door.

He had learned very quickly over the years that in order to preserve the livelihood of the people around them he had to keep Tsukki away from people for at least 20 minutes after he woke up. Thankfully by the time they got to the school, 20 minutes had passed so Tsukishima wasn't going to earn himself detention for being rude to the teacher like he had on at least three separate occasions.

They got into the classroom just before the teacher, and the moment their butts came in contact with the chair the door slid open. Tsukishima sighed in relief, and the person sitting to the right of him giggled. He turned and he was faced with you giving him the most glee-filled smirk he had ever seen. "What's so funny?" he hissed at you while the teacher started to take attendance.

You just smiled back at him, "Nothing, normally you and Yamaguchi are here super early." you commented innocently, "and you don't usually look so tired in the mornings." Tsukishima snorted before tuning in to what the teacher was saying about upcoming exams. 'Yeah you only see that because Yamaguchi knows better than to bring me to school when I'm tired, or so he says.' he thought to himself.

He was mostly dozing off while the teacher was talking until he felt his phone buzz in his uniform pocket. Luckily he was seated behind a taller kid so the teacher could barely see him, she was also fairly short which he always used to his advantage when it came to studying or reading a book during homeroom instead of paying attention to whatever she was blabbing about.

He pulled his phone out of his pocket, wondering who the heck was texting him.

Message from: Rando -_-

Of course. One would think that Rando was just an affectionate nickname for someone that you really knew but this wasn't the case. Tsukishima really didn't know this person, well they claimed to know who he was and to go to the same school as him but he wasn't sure if he believed them.

He sighed and double-checked that his teacher wasn't looking before opening the message.

Rando -_-: Helloooooo

What?

Rando-_-: Don't be like that! I'm just bored

And?                                                                                                                                                                                    What do you want me to do about it? You always claim that I'm boring

Rando-_-: I only said you're sometimes boring, like how much time you spend studying even though your grades are literally to die for
