Hello! It's time for a somewhat new Choni fic!

Like mentioned in the summary, I had previously posted this under a different title. I've now merged multiple chapters together, as well as changed a few things. So if you read part of this before, I suggest rereading it.

POV will be going between both Cheryl and Toni, but there will be breaks when it switches.

I also currently don't have an update schedule, but I will let you know if that changes <3

The blaring sound of Cheryl's phone ringing is what woke her up. She groaned and opened her eyes to the light of the sun filling the small bedroom she was in. She searched for her ringing phone, no doubt her brother was calling her.

"Hello?" She asked. Her throat was dry from the night before.

"Where the hell are you?"

Cheryl held the palm of her free hand against her forehead. "God, can you stop yelling? I..."

"You don't know where you are? Again, Cheryl? Really?"

Cheryl sighed. "I don't need whatever speech you're about to give me, JJ. I'll be home soon." With that, she hung up on her twin brother. She looked around her, not finding the woman she had slept with the night before and quickly changed into her jeans, tank top, and red checkered button up she had worn to the bar the night before.

Once she was dressed, she quietly opened the bedroom door to peek out. She didn't necessarily want to leave without saying goodbye, but she didn't want the other woman to be clingy when she left. The last thing she needed was a relationship and a woman who wouldn't leave her alone.

Cheryl held her boots in her hand, in an attempt to be even quieter as she snuck out. She walked down a small hallway and heard the sound of a shower running, and sweet, angelic humming coming from behind a door. She sighed with relief and quickened her pace to the door.

To her surprise, she found a small child, probably six or seven, sitting in the living room on a couch. He was watching cartoons and eating toast while he looked up at her with big, innocent eyes.

"Uh, hey..." Cheryl said quietly. "Where's your...mom?"

The little boy pointed to a door in the hallway, where the shower noise and humming was coming from. She smiled at him and ruffled his hair before stealing a piece of his toast and walking out the front door.

Once in the hallway of the apartment building, Cheryl finally put on her boots as she held the piece of toast between her teeth. She stumbled down the hall as she went. When she made her way outside, she wished she had a pair of sunglasses or a hat with her, but unfortunately, she couldn't quite have everything she wanted.

Cheryl saw a gas station at the corner of the street and started walking in that direction. She pulled out her phone, finding a missed call from her Aunt Alice and a few missed texts from her brother.

Jason [5:51am]: Where are you?

Jason [6:22am]: The horses aren't going to feed themselves

Jason [7:11am]: I'm not mucking these stalls for you

Jason [7:46am]: Alice stopped by to see you, she needs to talk to you about something

Yeah, no shit. Cheryl rolled her eyes.

After getting a large coffee and a donut, Cheryl had ordered herself an Uber and was now on her way home. She was pretty sure she had ubered to the bar the night before, but she would find out soon enough.
