It's almost 9pm here and I apologize for the late post. I had quite a busy day at work, and then hung out with family after.
At some point in this chapter, there is bit of texting where the sender doesn't actually send them. Unfortunately, Wattpad doesn't have a cross through option, so those texts are underlined and NOT in bold.
I do hope you enjoy this chapter <3

Thursday morning Toni groaned as her alarm went off. She wasn't entirely sure how much sleep she had gotten, but knew that it wasn't enough. At least she could sleep on the plane. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes with Britta still on her mind, but slowly got up to make coffee and get dressed.
To her surprise, the coffee was already made when she got to the kitchen, with a note left by her cousin.
Hey T,
I got called into work early, so I made you coffee. No need to thank me, but I like chocolate chip cookies from the bakery down the road.
Love you!

Toni smiled to herself and let out a quiet chuckle. She was definitely glad that she had someone like Sweet Pea in her life - cousin or not.
She poured herself a cup and added brown sugar with half and half, and then Cheryl popped into her head. She really hoped that the Doiley's would drop off Britta at the ranch on Friday, but she wasn't holding her breath. Either way, maybe she would hear from Cheryl about their day or if Britta wasn't dropped off.
While Toni drank her coffee at the small kitchen table, she scrolled through social media and a few emails, responding as needed. She had an email from her divorce lawyer as well, letting her know that everything would be finalized soon and she would be sent the paperwork in a timely fashion.
Finally, it was time for Toni to get dressed, do her hair and double check that she had everything packed for her flight. She was thankful it would be a quick trip, but wasn't looking forward to the jetlag, and hoped that Anthony would be okay on the flight and take a nap with her; flying with a toddler was never fun and they had only done it twice.
She was picked up by the Uber driver and taken to the airport, where she waited for two hours before finally getting on the plane. Toni found a podcast about horses and other farm animals to hopefully be able to hold a better conversation with Cheryl, and just to learn more overall, since she was working with Britta, who shared similar interests to the older redhead.
Once the flight attendant had gone over all safety precautions, Toni put in her earbuds and listened as she slowly fell asleep.

Cheryl rolled over in her sleep, suddenly waking up when she collided with something; or someone. She slowly opened one eye, finding the room she was in was still dark. A groan left her lips and she rolled over to her other side, looking for a lamp or her phone. Luckily for her, her phone was sitting on the nightstand. She pressed her finger to the back of the device, unlocking it with her fingerprint, and squinted at the brightness.
4:58am
Cheryl groaned again and slowly sat up. Her head was pounding and her body was aching, but she had to get home. She used her phone flashlight to find her clothes on the floor, as well as her boots. She quickly got dressed and quietly left the house she appeared to be in, not even caring to look back at who she had been in bed with.
She was thankful to find her car sitting out front of the house. The redhead climbed inside of it, plugged in her phone to charge, and was off to the ranch. But not before sending a quick text to her brother.
