I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER

It's just like any other day, the tent is quiet and gloomy while Hermione, Harry, and Ron try to figure out how to destroy Slytherin's locket

In the shadows, Ron lies on his back, staring gloomily at the pitched ceiling of the tent, listening to the radio's murmur, while Hermione, wearing a red scarf against the chill, runs the fingers of her left hand through Harry'shair, alternately employing the wand in her right hand to trim Harry's hair and flip the pages of A History of Magic

"Oh my god..." Hermione murmurs while standing abruptly and walking to the other side of the tent

"What!?" Harry asks alarmed putting his hand on the back of his head to see if she cut off too much and also standing up

"I'll tell you in a minute," she says still looking through the book

"Maybe you should tell me now," he says nervously

"Alright, the Sword of Gryffindor?" she asks but Harry still looks confused, she sighs before explaining, "It's goblin made"

"Brilliant..." he says but still seems super confused

"You don't understand" he shakes his head, "Ok, dirt and dust have no effect on the blade, it only takes in that which makes it stronger"

"O-kay," he says hesitantly, still having absolutely no idea what she's talking about

"Harry... you already destroyed one Horcrux, right? Tom Riddle's Diary -- in the Chamber of Secrets"

He nods his head, "With a basilisk fang... if you tell me you've got one of those in that bloody beaded bag of yours --"

"Don't you see" she cuts him off, slightly startling him "In the Chamber of Secrets, you stabbed the basilisk with the Sword of Gryffindor, its blade is impregnated with basilisk venom"

"It only takes in that which makes it stronger..." he whispers to himself, now understanding what she was saying

"Exactly, which means..." she starts saying

"... it can destroy Horcruxes," he says finishing her thought

"Which is why Dumbledore left it to you in his will," she says

"You're brilliant, Hermione. Truly" he says but she just waves him off

"Actually, I'm highly logical, which allows me to look past the extraneous detail and perceive clearly that which others overlook"

Harry deflates a little when he comes to a realization, "There's only one problem..."

He cuts himself off when the lights suddenly go out

"The sword was stolen" Ron chimes in when the lights come back on

Hermione and Harry turned to see Ron with the Deluminator in his good hand, lying in the shadows of his bunk, staring at the roof as the first drops of rain hit the canvas above
