The sun has risen by the time the boys get back and Hermione is still asleep in the tent, no harm came to her whatsoever

Harry mentally berates himself for leaving her alone too distracted to find the doe that he didn't even think about waking his best friend... no his pregnant best friend to tell her he was leaving for a moment

"Hermione..." she stirs and sits up. Pushing her hair out of her face, she peers through the tent flap

Harry sticks the sword in the ground. As Hermione emerges, she blinks against the brightness of the morning sun, "Everything all right?"

"Fine. Actually... more than fine" He steps aside and Hermione sees Ron, standing at the edge of the camp. She stares, mute, then walks past Harry and the ashes of the campfire, stopping right in front of Ron. He raises a hand and smiles sheepishly

"Hey..."

And then... Hermione begins to punch him, "Wo -- hey -- ouch!"

"You -- complete -- arse -- Ronald-- Weasley! You crawl back here after all these weeks and say, 'Hey?'" she says in between punches then she turns and starts walking over to Harry, "Where's my wand? Harry, where's my wand!"

Harry places his hand over his pocket, "I don't have it"

"Harry Potter, you give me my wand!" she backs Harry into a tree

"How come he's got your wand?" Ron asks confused

"Never mind why he's got my wand --" she stops mid-sentence when she sees what's in Ron's hand, "What is that?" she stares at the blackened locket dangling in Ron's hand

"You destroyed it?" Hermione glances at Harry. He indicates Ron. She turns back to Ron. He nods. She starts to speak when her eyes shift, seeing the sword stuck in the ground, "And exactly how is it you have the Sword of Gryffindor?"

"It's a long story," Harry says trying not to feel the wrath of her hormones again

Hermione ponders this, baffled, then looks back at Ron. "Don't think this changes anything"

"No, of course not. I only destroyed a bloody freaking Horcrux! Why would that change anything? Do you know what it was like for me to hear those words coming from you? To see you doing those things --" Ron stops

"See me doing what things?" Ron blinks, mortified. Hermione turns to Harry, "What happened out there?"

Harry is at a loss, "It's a long story"

"Look, I wanted to come back the minute I'd left. I just... didn't know how to find you" Ron says trying to explain himself

"Exactly how did you find us?" Harry asks wanting to know how he could have possibly found them through all the protection wards

"With this..." Ron reaches into his pocket and pulls out the Deluminator, "It doesn't just turn off lights. I don't know exactly how it works, but one morning I -- I was sleeping -- in this little pub--I'd given some Snatchers the slip the night before, me being a blood traitor and all -- anyway, I was sleeping when I heard it..."
