Y/n crawled back on the couch and pulled the blanket over her. She wasn't sure how long it's been, but it felt like a full day since she witnessed Hawk's get killed. It wasn't the first, not second, not even the fifth time she had seen someone die in front of her. Still, it shakes her every single time. It would shake anyone, but for Yn, what scared her most is that she didn't fear death, she only feared pain.

For the first time in hours, the door opened. Assuming it was Dabi, she told him to go away but it was Shadow. Though that didn't change what she said. He sat down in front of her, a tray with some food and water.

"Dabi was pretty mad at you."

The feeling is mutual. He glanced down at the floor below her and all the fake nails and nail clippings she had bit off, she was biting her thumb, the last one trying to get it off while staring at the wall across from her. "He only wants the best for you..." She still wasn't talking to him, he understood why but he wasn't going to give up.

He kneeled down in front of her. "Are you..sad because he killed the hero with the red wings?" However she ignored his question and spared him a glance. When she looked at him she felt as if she was talking to nothing, rather than a human, if he was even that.

"What do you really look like.." She muttered, she sounded like she was about to cry, and she would have. She had phrased it less of a question, and he hesitated, not that she could see, he looked down then that abbyss she stared into had slowly appeared to be a person. He looked average, he had medium length, jet black hair that was slicked back. And more noticably, he had a huge burn scar on the left side of his face, similar to Shoto's but worse. It started at his hairline, and all the way down past his neck, she didn't know how far it went, but his hand was almost covered.

"Oh, what happened?"

"My father." Y/n furrowed her eyebrows, she felt bad, there was saddness in his eyes, the type you'd see in someone who hasn't mentally healed yet. Y/n saw this a lot in villains, they're people who haven't healed yet, is how she would describe it. She extended what she could of her right arm and touched the unburned side of his face, he was real, and his face was oddly warm and soft like a baby's face, it was just peach fuzz. She rubbed her thumb over his cheek and noticed him clenching his jaw, he was tense, like he had froze up at her touch so she removed her hand.

"He hurt you...why?" And for a moment, his breath was shakey. He looked at the floor, then back up at her. "I had a low pain tolerance, so he burned my nerve endings, and uh, he um," he furrowed his eyebrows, it seemed he didn't know why he was stammering either.

"I get it...people think by causing you pain it makes you stronger... but they only teach you how to put up wth it." He only nodded and grabbed her hand, looking at her for consent then put her hand to his face again. He wasn't as tense as before, he looked more relaxed.

He moved closer, he was about to speak then the door opened. He dropped her hand and as he stood up she flipped to the other side of the couch. It was Dabi, he didn't tell Shadow to leave or wait for him, he instead grabbed him by his collar and dragged him out of the room. Y/n sighed as the door slammed.

Dabi threw Shadow, not hard enough to hurt him just so he got the message after he fell to the floor. "I told you to stop talking to her!

"I-"

"Stay the hell away, do your damn job." He huffed and went back into the room, slamming the door again.

"Y/n doesn't deserve you."

She definitely had more mixed feelings. She heard Dabi push the plates of the table, the glass shattering against the wood, something clanged against the table. It only made her pull the covers up more. "Let's try this again," she didn't move at first, so he ripped the covers from her. She sighed and sat up, glancing at the swords on the table.
