"Three things can not be long hidden; the sun, the moon, and the truth." - Buddha
Down in the lower wing of the underground lair there was a lot of noise, it could be heard from the other wings. Loud muffled yelling and slamming. And as orders highly suggest, anyone who hears the noise go check it out and be cautious.
The lower members of the league rushed down to the lower wing. They recongnized the voices from a few miles away. They reached the end of the hall and soon a figure and lines of blue fire came shooting out of the darkness from one of the hallways, torches igniting themselves as the figure flew and landed on the hard concrete.
The figure happened to be Dabi. He was already beaten up, and with his injuries he probably couldn't fight back. So without question they gathered in front of him like a giant shield as another person approached them.
Of course, it was Y/n. No one had time to see her face as they were attacking her, only a yell. "Don't hurt her!" His voice echoed and carried down the hall. Yet no one listened to him. A big shadow seeped from the corners of the hall and wrapped around her ankle and traveled up her leg, while the others went all in and threw too many attacks at her at once. It was like a conscious black out, she saw them attack her but unable to block nor see all of them. She felt everything, the burns, the hits. They may have been lower members of the league but togeher they could cause real damage.
Y/n fought back with her quirk, it wasn't the pain that angered her but the shadow slowly creeping up and restraining her body as if she were tied by rope. She was not drunk, high or under any influence, this anger was hers and hers alone.
She resisted at first, squirming around on the floor and yelling for them to release her, then a familar feeling came back, similar to that of when you're suffocating in a dream, you can feel it but you physically can't yell. Something felt wrong to her, something that wasn't saliva or loss of voice, something was bubbling up in her esophagus. Possibly vomit but something much worse.
A shadow's hand gracefully wrapped around her throat, the transparent thing felt ticklish like thread lightly dragging across her neck. At this point she couldn't breath nor swallow, exhale nor inhale, she was croaking and fighting back although nothing touched her. Through the crowd of the league Dabi came rushing through, at first oblivious to what was causing her to suffocate and unsure who to knock out.
He kneeled next to Y/n, spilling out blood and to the point where the grasp around her neck became so much that she coughed up the blood she was choking on. That's when Dabi realized it wasn't stopping anytime soon, it was flight or fight mode, and she wasn't stopping until she was unconscious or the threat was gone, she was doing this to herself.
Dabi arose and shot fire towards his team, he yelled at them, his voice echoed and the halls had gone silent besides the distinct choking. His eyes fixed on one person, eyes glazed over with a gloss of pink. "Someone snap her out of it!" He ordered, the biggest guy picked up the small girl and shook her out of the trance.
To Y/n, her eyes filled with tears blurred her field of vison, there was so much strain on her that her dark skin turned concerningly red. Dabi remained next to her, trying to support her neck but he was worn out and she was still fighting back.
"Shadow! I swear--" he yelled and the black transparent hands around her began to retract and converge until he was back to his normal form, except without his black foggy face. "She's choking herself." He informed flatly, Dabi glowered at him as his hands still tightly wrapped around her neck.
"And I know that, I said let her go!" Suddenly Dabis fire was surrounding just the two, everything was blocked out and Y/n was regaining her senses and feeling in her neck. It seemed common sense was knocked into her. She caught up with her breath and relaxed her head against the concrete floor, while Dabi stayed with her, until she was visibly okay. He always stared at her with a careful look in his eyes like he found peace in her, and that was weird for a villian, especially to Y/n. She's never seen that in a villian before, the only thing she expects is despair, hatred, self loathing, never in her life has anyone looked at her the way Dabi does. Although she may not love him, she felt some type of way about him.
"I'm sorry." she finally spat out, wiping the blood off of her mouth with her sleeve. "For what?" Dabi said flatly, she glared at him then rolled over and stood up. Half of her shirt soaked in dripping blood. She had never felt the effects of her own quirk, now that she has, she somewhat feels better. The damage she inflicted was strong.
Y/n exited the way she came in, her shoulder aching and burning, she just shrugged it off. She rolled her shoulder and walked away from Dabi. A trail of blood followed her, the sound of footsteps and blood dripping onto the floor faded. Y/n wiped the rest of the blood from her face on her sleeve and never looked back.
Of course no one knew why they were fighting, why Dabi only defended himself and never hit her. But the tension was loud and made things very clear; Y/n was going to do something reckless, Dabi was going to drink his feelings away until she was done, and the others were going to clean up her mess.
This was until, someone had other ideas. Halfway down the dark hallway, the one that never lit up near a presence, Y/n stopped as she felt another. There were no words exchanged, but as she spat out blood from her mouth she was grabbed from behind. Startled, she turned around and attempted to punch the shaded figure, but failed, her arms were grabbed and she was hit in her forehead, punched in the temple and kicked in her side before losing her balance.
It had all happened so fast, Y/n barely had time to process. She was grabbed by her shirt and soon she felt the cloth turn to ash and fall on her body. There was no more cloth, thus Y/n knew exactly who this was.
"What the hell do you want, Tomura?" She could barely see him, but recongnized his breathing anyway. Before he could answer, the torches suddenly flickered on and revealed their position. He was kneeled over her, hs hand filled with ash he just noticed. He didn't mean to, this was the first time in a while he accidently disinigrated something, and it sent his mind sprialing. That, and he had destroyed her shirt at that, Y/n was just in her bra and he could just not stop staring.
Y/n raised an eyebrow as he blanked out, she snapped at him, hit him, yet he only shifted his eyes. He was very present, she assumed--he was messing with her. So Y/n had to one-up him, she went as far and grabbing his shirt and catching him off guard with a small kiss, just a peck. She furrowed her eyebrows and let him go in an offensive manner. "Shiggy! What's wrong with you?!" She smirked but it quickly fell as he had no reaction. The game wasn't fun if he didn't react, it made her question if something was really wrong.
"Alright," she attempted to push him off of herself, then Tomura grabbed her arm, she had only blinked and suddenly she was tasting spicy cigarettes and the bitter taste of alcohol against her lips. Something made her go along, she ran her hands through his greasy hair and then she was on top of him, her hands traveling all over his body and his too.
But Y/n had fears.
When she pulled away they found themselves staring, the silence quiet with only the whispers of the torches. Just when he pulled her in again, she pulled back and stood up and wiped her mouth clean of saliva. However that didn't get rid of the bitter taste.
Tomura watched her walk away, he was still shocked--offended almost.
As Y/n got further away from him and entered the darkness, she looked down at the glistening silver key chain she had snatched from him. It had to have been the cleanest thing on him.
I apologize for the short chapter, I had to delete this one and go a different route because I was going with my orginal idea, and school has been stressful. But I hope you Enjoyed!
