Gou XinDou looked at Dong MingEn incredulously, and his tone sounded incredibly hurt as he said: “You act all friendly with us pure underachievers, but it turned out you’re secretly studying…”

Dong MingEn waved his hands and tried to explain: “This isn’t what it looks like…”

Xu Yao saw that Dong MingEn wasn’t moving, so he increased the volume of his voice: “Dong MingEn, can’t you hurry up? Weren’t you the one who needed these remedial lessons the most?”

Dong MingEn: “…..”

Gou XinDou’s expression was blank. “I think things seem pretty clear.”

“You wait a second.” Dong MingEn covered his face as he ran out to Xu Yao.

Xu Yao angrily pushed a textbook into Dong MingEn’s hands and said: “We only went through half of the topics yesterday. Go look at the rest and pick the topics yourself, so we don’t need to waste time on it later.”

After accepting the textbook, Dong MingEn rushed right back inside the classroom, as if hell-hounds were nipping at his heels. It was unknown whether Dong MingEn actually understood a word Xu Yao had said to him.

Dong MingEn: “….”

Gou XinDou made a motion of wiping the corner of his eye and said: “As long as you say it, I’ll believe you.”

Dong MingEn and Lou XingGuang glanced at each other and saw a feeling of crisis in each other’s gaze.

For the sake of their Boss, they can’t tell the truth no matter what.

But if they don’t tell the truth, they’re bound to be labeled as traitors who secretly colluded with the top students.

This predicament was enough to give both of them a big headache.

Dong MingEn struggled for a long time before finally snorting. “Yes, you’re right. We went to the top class and asked them to give us remedial help.”

Gou XinDou was forced to give up on his performance, and his expression twitched as he asked: “Did you just say something unbelievable, or was I the one who just hallucinated?”

Straightening his posture until he resembled their homeroom teacher, Dong MingEn looked at Gou XinDou and with as much dignity as he could muster, said: “There isn’t much time left for us. We shouldn’t live as muddleheaded as we did before…”

“Stop, stop, don’t bother. I’m leaving.” Gou XinDou waved his hand and slipped away. After he took two steps though, he turned back. Looking at Dong MingEn up and down, he asked: “So, you guys didn’t fight with Lin Qian yesterday?”

Dong MingEn tried really, really hard not to make a shameful expression.

Gou XinDou continued, asking: “And not only did you guys not fight, but you even became friends?”

Dong MingEn quickly shook his head: “No, no, we’re just using each other.”

Gou XinDou looked at him gravely. “So, are you going to change your name to Lin MingEn later?”
