One on the sofa, purring next to me
One on the floor, shouting up at me
Both sound cute and comforting
One with a belly of purest white, untrodden snow
One completely brown, with enchanting black swirls
Both wonderfully soft to the touch
One sat on the wall, soaking in the sun
One waiting outside the door, practising patience
Both there to welcome me home
One bringing soft toys to deliver at my feet
One facing off and defending our home
Both trying earnestly to please me
One chasing her own tail in a circle
One falling off the table unprompted
Both fantastically stupid
One under my left hand
One under my right
Both loved so very much
