She journeyed down the steps, the rain streaming down her shoulders only to drip from her fingertips. If only he could see her tears though the rain, he would have known that she wasn't smiling for real. He did it to get a reaction out of her, one she wasn't willing to give. Though most would not have seen the problem, but only because they weren't looking hard enough. Neither was he. Or maybe it's because she was such a good actress that he didn't see. But nevertheless, he only kept going. Showing off his new girlfriend to her, he didn't know how much the girl really cared for him. If only he knew before it was too late. Then he wouldn't have missed his chance before everything started crashing down around the both of them.
