In the footsteps of fate

Chapter 1

The late evening. A lot of young people have been gathered in one place with loud music and a happy party. People are crowding and dancing at the same time. They just enjoy the moment and do not think about what will happen to them next. One couple is staying out of the crowd and looking at dancing people. They do not seem so delighted, especially, a girl who is wearing a skinny black dress that fits her well. She is wearing wavy hair loose and her arms are put on her chest, trying to hide a V-neckline. At the same time a guy, which is near the girl, is holding a glass of orange juice, looking at the crowd. He is wearing blue ripped jeans and a black oversized T-shirt. His hair looks a little messy, but it suits him perfectly and does not make him insecure. All people are having fun except them. They have come here for another reason.

–  Why are you so gloomy? – the guy, which has had a little drink, is running up to them. Everywhere is loud music due to what the next street is trembling. – Did you come here to have fun, or what?

– As far as you know, we were sent here for working. And you, I see, are completely relaxed. – Yonmy is hissing with anger like a snake. – Why has this fool not been fired yet? – she is already talking to another guy, which is her mate.

– Yeah, some people are really lucky. Raon always runs into Mr. Park, when he is fitted of anger, but then Raon is sent to missions with us as if nothing had happened. If he had not been so lucky, he would have left on the first day of his job. – Hyun Ki is talking with a slight smile on his face, although this smile is not easy for him. Surely, hanging out in some silly club for about a few hours, especially, when you are not here of your own free will. – Maybe you should relax a little, have not you thought about it?

– To be honest, I want to get out of here, but only that person we are here for does not even think about his turning up. We do not even know his appearance and his name. How does Mr. Park imagine it? That we will feel his soul, or what? I would hang out at home right now, or better take a hot bath. – the girl's tone is becoming calmer, most likely because of the acceptance of the whole situation. Well, at least, Hyun Ki is here and he is one of the most people with whom it is not boring on missions.

The brunet is not responding to Yonmy's words, well aware that she will not calm down, but only will continue to resent them. Hyun Ki really likes hanging out with Yonmy. He even likes her constant indignations because, without them, their mission would be boring. At first, she grumbles. Then she keeps silent. And finally, they laugh together at how grumpy she can be. By the way, it is possible to understand this Yonmy's behavior. Who would like to hang out in the club by not your own will? And the stupid colleague is getting on your nerves, as well. How does Huyn Ki stay so calm in such situations? However, Yonmy knows him very well. She knows he is as grumpy as the girl, but just tries not to show it and restrains himself.

– Does this guy seem suspicious to you? Who does go to nightclubs in a suit? – Yonmy probably has said the last phrase for herself, because it is unlikely that her mate is listening to her, but she is wrong. The guy is still listening to her.

– Yeah, sure. And look at another one.  This guy is constantly running around him and also in a suit. The bodyguard.

– What do you mean? — the long-haired brunette is looking at her partner with a confused face.

– I had been working with him for three years. — the guy is still looking at the man with his bodyguard, while his partner is getting mixed up more.

– What do you mean? – Yonmy is asking again because she has not understood clearly what her partner meant.

– Before I met you, I had been working for Mr. Park for several months. And this guy had been his bodyguard. Then something strange had happened. I have no idea what, but Mr. Park fired him. I only heard how Park was yelling at him. He yelled that that guy had been a traitor and briber. So, now I see why he has been fired. I am sure this is exactly what we need. – the guy is winking at his partner, letting her know what she has to do.
