Tape it notes

Rain pounds hard against your window and you can almost feel it against your skin as you stare out of your balcony window onto the road ahead. It's your usual night routine now, casually watching people go about they're nighttime activities and you hate to admit it but it's fun.

After realising tonight might not be as interesting as others you roll over your small sofa and onto the floor of your apartment you look around and make eye contact with your newly adopted cat clementine. She's a ginger tabby with eyes like emeralds and you can't help but smile when you see her after all she led you to your new boyfriend.

You sigh and get up off of the floor to make yourself a drink and as if by sensing your movement you get a call. You search desperately for your phone and when you find it you grin widely at who's calling. 'Sero'

"Hey y/n."

"Hi Sero how can I help?" You did your best to play it cool and as if you hadn't been waiting for his call for the past few days.

"I just wanted to hear your voice it's been a while-"

"Yes, yes it has like 3 days," You announce to loudly cutting him off, "You were saying?"

"We should make time to you know....meet up I miss seeing your face." Sero talks slowly and you can picture his face burnin red with embarrassment but you were glad he had asked you.

"Yeah...yeah we should, how does Wednesday sound?" You can barely contain your excitement as you walk around your apartment waiting for his answer.

"Sounds good, let's meet up around 4pm I'm on patrol from morning to afternoon. The cafe near the station?"

"Uh huh I'll be there."

The conversation carries on until early hours of the morning but you refuse to give in and fall asleep first.

Through a yawn sero says "I wish it could be Wednesday already so I could see you and your gorgeous smile."

You can feel your cheeks burning as you respond."You're tired sero get some rest bye." Before he can say anything back you hang up the phone and glide towards your bed and lay down. You feel your phone vibrate and pick it up to look at the message.

Sero: Sleep well :)

You wake up in a hurry and have no time to send Sero a message back. You throw on the only clean and presentable clothes you can find and feed clementine and gift her a few strokes leaving you no time to fix yourself breakfast and slip out the door and from the corner of your eye you notice an orange coloured note taped to your door. You inch closer and read the words in black marker.

'May your day be as bright as you are.'

You laugh in shock at the note and do your best to act like it didn't mean the world to you but you quickly grab the piece of paper along with the tape and put it in a clean place in your bag and run off to work.

You manage to get to work a few minutes before your manager arrives so you run off to the bathroom and fix your hair and makeup because from the looks you got on the train it was not looking as decent as you thought it did.

You work for Endeavour agency as an emergency analyst meaning you assess any major situations in the city and send in the heros that suit the job best. You liked your job it made you feel like you were helping even though you could never compare to that boyfriend of yours who's on the front lines.

Today work was really slow and the biggest emergency you had was a bank robbery in Tokyo so of course you sent over some kids doing course work for UA.

You get off work at a decent time and get a less packed train home but when you get to the ground floor of your apartment block you see a 'not in use sign' on the lift and and groan you live on the 14th floor of a 20 story apartment. Using all the energy you have left you collect yourself and start on the 14 flights of stairs you have ahead of you.
