*ೃ༄ - "Did you really have the dream you said you had, Squirrel'Paw?" Rose'Paw spoke, keeping his voice low.
The mentioned calico looked around cautiously. "Let's talk about this somewhere else..." He whispered.
Squirrel'Paw looked around again, making his voice lower than Rose'Paw had ever heard it. "Let's meet at the sandy hollow in the jungle."
Rose'Paws eyes widened. "Th-the jungle!?" She exclaimed, still whispering. "But that place is dangerous..!"
"Exactly, no one will find us there."
Nettle'Sting glared at the apprentices, approaching them quickly.
"Now what exactly are you two talking about?" She hissed.
"Um..." Squirrel'Paw started, nervously.
"We were talking about how loud Storm'Paw snores at night...we didn't want her to hear, sorry Nettle'Sting." Rose'Paw finished for him, dipping her head respectfully for the deputy.
"Okay then." She meowed, eyes still narrowed in suspicion. "Well, Daisy'Wing wants you, Rose'Paw so you better get over there right. Now." The deputy hissed out, stalking over towards Monarch'Stars den.
"We have to be more careful next time."
Squirrel'Paw spoke. "Anyways, go off and do your..." The calicos nose wrinkled. "Medicine Cat stuff."
Rose'Paw giggled. "Okay, bye Squirrel'Paw!" He meowed, not waiting for a response and walking over to the medicine den.

*ೃ༄ - Frankie sighed. It had been getting so lonely without the other group of cats that had just left, but at least they had Mouse! Frankie turned to look at their sister, who was chasing a moth across the farm fields. They wondered how Mouse could be so...careless, at peace with the world. Frankie sighed, continuing to stare out the window of the barn.
Maybe they could talk to some kittypets?

*ೃ༄ - Soon, Frankie found their paws itching to move. They stood up and shook their fur, releasing a small cloud of dust. Frankie made their way down the ladder that led to the barn attic, which had the dusty stool they had pushed to be right in front of the window.
Eventually, the black and white furred cat was on the bottom floor of the barn. They raced out towards the field where their sister was playing.
"Hey!" They yowled towards the brown furred Shecat. "I'm gonna go try to talk to the kittypets again, see ya!" They didn't give Mouse a chance to respond, bounding off towards the twolegplace.

*ೃ༄ - Quickly, they entered the clearing where the Twolegplace was, they could see the fence leading into the kittypets backyards.
They scrambled on top and over the fence.
"Hellooo???" Frankie called, to the particularly empty clearing. They sighed, did they really come all this way for nothing!? Usually at least ONE kittypet was around to talk to.
Their ears perked as they heard a rustle in the bushes.
"Hello?" They spoke again. "Is someone there?" They spun around, trying to figure out the source of the noise.
Suddenly, a black cat stepped out of the shadows. Said cat was significantly bigger than Frankie, and towered over them.
Frankie tried to make themselves smaller. (So they wouldn't find them threatening absolutely not because they were scared or anything!)
"What are you doing here, barn cat?" The black furred cat spoke.
"Umm..hi! My name's Frankie, I came here to make friends!" They smiled up at the larger cat nervously.
"My name is Jinx. Why did you come here to make friends?" He spoke, his voice thick and gravelly.
"Oh, the new batch of cats who came to visit the barn left recently, and I've been pretty lonely without them." He explained.
"Oh...well I just came here to rummage through upwalker garbage." He shrugged. "Continue on with...whatever you were planning on doing."
"Wait! We have plenty of prey at the barn...no offense but wouldn't you rather have that?"
His eyes widened. "Why would you invite me? You have no clue who I am.."
"Yes I do! You're Jinx!" Frankie happily spoke.
"Ah, okay then..." He lifted his head, seemingly thinking of his options. "I'll go."
"Yay!" They cheered. "Follow me!"
"Wait- what about your plans?" He spoke.
"My plans have succeeded! My plans were to make a friend, and guess what I've done? Make a friend!"
"You- you barely know me, yet you already consider me a friend..?" He meowed slowly, clearly confused.
"Yes! You are my friend! Now follow me to the barn, come on!" They exclaimed, bounding towards the barn.

"Mouse!" Frankie called. "Look, I made a new friend, and he's gonna be staying with us for a while!" They grinned widely.
"Already?" She meowed, wrinkling her nose. "I thought we would have a while till the next group.."
"I can leave, if you need." He nodded, seemingly understanding Mouse's point of view.
"What? No it's fine." Mouse got up, stretching and licking her paw. "Frankie, go make him a nest."
"Okay!!" They bounced away to go make a nest for Jinx.
"Really, if it's too much of a problem to let me stay here, you can have me leave." He spoke, averting his gaze from the brown Shecat.
"No? It's fine..cats stay here all the time, why would I suddenly care that it's you? That doesn't make any sense...like at all."
"Ah, okay. Well, my name is Jinx, what's yours?"
"Pretty sure you heard it earlier, but it's Mouse. I'm gonna go sleep now, hunt however much you like." She shrugged, waving her paw and heading towards the barn.
