Mark spent his time on his computer working on the project. Sure he had to stream, but he had priorities. His fingers glided along his keyboard, writing out an outline for the essay. He paused for a moment. He glanced over to his phone, he thought about texting Tashi just to communicate with him. He grabbed his phone and opened his messages.

He sat staring at his phone, waiting for his history partner to answer. 'I wonder what he's doing right now'

"So how's school going, you finally get a girl?" Tashi held back an eye roll. "No granpa, I haven't, and I don't think I will," He got a confused look from his grandparents, "I'm trying to focus on school right now, so I'm not really focused on relationships right now.
He wanted desperately to separate from the conversation, but he was stuck. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket.
"Can I be excused for the rest of the evening, my stomach isn't feeling too good," Both of his parents gave him an understanding look and nodded.
He took that opportunity to speed to his room. He let down his hair, his afro covering half his face. He looked to see that Mark texted him.

Tashi: just got away from my grandparents 😩😩

The address was sent, and he climbed out his window after texting his parents, they wouldn't care too much, as long as he's safe.
It took about 10 minutes to walk there. He was surprised by how big it was. It looked like a mini mansion.
He skipped every other stair as he walked up to the porch. Once he got up, he knocked on the door. The door opened to a small dirty blond woman, he assumed it was Mark's mom. She had a smile on her face, as if she was the one expecting him.
"Hi!! Come in, come in," She motioned for him to come in and he did.
