Hide and seek

Chapter 1

                                Lucy

Today was the first day of 11th grade. I was so excited yet at the same time scared. I didnt want to go because it's the same every year. I am always quiet and dont really have friends. So I always sit in the back of the class and alone at lunch. My name is Lucy Heartfilia. Daughter of the most powerful man in all of magnolia. I might seem like a big deal but I'm not. I get up, grab my clothes and go get dressed for school. I grab my keys put my shoes on and walk out the door then start driving to school.

     Once I get there I take a deep breath and walk into the school. Another year, another lesson learned. I walk to my homeroom class and am given a paper. I look at it and see my schedule. There are 8 periods. And A-Lunch. History, then science, study hall, health/physical ed, and then. Another study hall? Why would I have two? There two different teachers though.

   "Excuse me, Mr.Lotter. May I talk to you about my schedule for a second?" I ask raising my hand. He looks over at me and smiles, then walks over to me bending over well looking over my shoulder. "Yes Miss Heartfilia?" He asks smiling a cheeky smile. "I am looking at my schedule and I see that I have two study halls. Why is that?" I ask pointing to both of them. "Some kids get two. Most the time for no reason. Just think of it as extra help" He explains smiling well walking back to his front desk taking attendance.

  We all say 'here's and then the bell rings. Off to history I go. It was at the 3rd floor well I was down on the first floor so I had to rush. 3 minutes to get to a class all the way across the school is not enough time. I wasnt looking and I ran into someone then fell to the floor. "Sorry, I wasnt looking" I say picking up my books. "Yeah yeah. Watch where your walking" he says walking past me. I get up and start running past him but well I'm passing him I say "asshole" then run to class.

   2 minutes after I get to class the kid i ran i to walks into class. And sits right next to me....what in the actual...fuck. I tense up as he sits down and puts his textbook and chromebook down. Then I sigh loudly and he side eyes me. "Got a problem?" He asks. "Yes I do, your sitting next to me." I whisper back to him looking forward.

    He chuckles but I never give him a glance. "Hello, I am Mr.Porter. And I hope we can all be friends." He says turning his back to us facing the board. I hear a kid laugh then speak. "Arnt we suppose to be like a family or something? Your the dad were your kids? That's how it went before" he said throwing a pencil at Mr.Porter.

  I got up and walked to the teacher whispering something to him and walked out. Then i heard footsteps behind me. "Hey blondie. Can i talk to you real quick?" I could only assume it was the asshole. I turned around and gave a fake smile squinting my eyes. "First off, I have a name. Second off, you were rude earlier and expect me to talk to you now?" I snarkily remark. He smiles and puts his hand out.

   I look at him with a quizzical expression. But I sooner or later take his hand and he smiles at me shaking it. "I'm sting. Sorry for being so ride earlier. I was in a mood. But that's not a excuse I guess. Either way I'm sorry." He says rubbing his arm. I smile and fix my hair behind my shoulders. "Its okay, im gonna get back to class..." I say and walk past him and back into the class. I take my seat and he goes back to his teaching.

  Usually the first day of school we dont teach, nor really the first week of school. So I wasnt use to this routine. I took out my notebook and took the notes I thought were most necessary. Then something caught my eye. I looked last eating who I didnt even know got back into the class let alone sat back down.

  And there was someone with pink hair sitting next to him. Then sting whispered to me. "That's my friend. Natsu Dragneel. I guess you could call him the 'bad boy' of the school" he said with air quotes on the words bad boy I smiled and nodded.

   I got back to my notes until the bell rang. Then I cleaned up and got up putting my books and my computer in my arms as i hugged them tightly. "Want me to introduce you to him? It wouldnt be that big if a deal if i did. Although he isnt that much of a talker to people like you." What the hell was that suppose to mean "people like you"? I guess you could say I was kind of offended by those words. That remark.

   Me not being able to keep my mouth shut I asked him with a snarky voice. "The hell you mean 'people like me" I ask while waving my hands in anger. He smirks and calls natsu over. "What I mean is to him your a nerd. Your a looser. To him, hes out of your league" he says while motioning to the pink haired boy next to him.

  I just rolled my eyes. "Personally. I dont think your all that good. Just because of the way you think upon other people. That is a total turn off in a relationship. To most girls anyway. I think I remember you from last year. You were a total asshole." I remarked while turning away to walk away. I walked out and went to my next class, science. I use to suck at science. But the past few years I haven't done so bad.

   I sat down and again, the same 2 people came in. Natsu and sting. Sting I was okay with. But natsu was another story. I can only wonder how bad this class will be. Because natsu sat right next to me smirking. While sting was all the way in the front. To put it lightly...I was fucked.
