                                                                            __________

I went to 3rd period, wondering why I even said yes to him. Why did I? Why did I say yes, even though deep down... I hate him. I keep asking all these questions. But the real one is- Do I actually hate the bad boy Natsu?

That was the only thing in my head right now. Because I was trying to think of everything and anything other than what had happened. I snapped back into reality when someone cleared their throat. Something hitting off of my white-ish desk. It was a ruler.

"Mrs. Heartfilia!" I heard Miss Thompson yell at me. Looking right at her, I blinked. Once, twice- three times.

"Yes?" I asked. Voice sounded prissy. She did that 'are you serious?' stance. I looked around, confused. Everyone else had looked at me.

"What is the answer to the question?" She asked. I looked at the green chalkboard 'When was pearl harbor?'. Clearing my throat. I went to speak- but to be quite frank I had no clue. At least at the moment. Then I thought for a few seconds. "If you do not know Lucy. Then just say so."

" It was December 7, 1941," I said. Smiling cockily because she thought I wouldn't know what was the answer was. She nodded her head, obviously impressed.

"Very good Mrs. Heartfilia." I smiled.

                                                                   ______________

School ended and I saw Natsu sitting by his motorcycle, looking at his phone. I started to walk to the bus, figuring he would forget that a person like him, and a loser like her. Had made plans together. "Luce!" Natsu called out. She had turned around. Looking at him. She smiled and waved, then continued walking to the bus, although hers was all the way down the sidewalk. Lucy then heard fast footsteps. And heavy breathing. "Hey...luce. Wh-Where are you...going?" He said each word after a pant. Stuttering.

"Home?" She said, with a questioning tone. He chuckled, then shook his head. Mumbling something under his breath. "I'm sorry. What was that?" I asked cockily. He rolled his eyes.

"Nothing, are we still hanging out?" He asked, tilting his head. 'he remembered.'  I didn't think he would. So this is shocking. "So...?" He anticipated. I nodded my head.

"Yeah, sure. What are we going to do?" I had asked. He rubbed the back of his neck.

"I was hoping... this is embarrassing to say.  Can you help me with my work? I don't exactly understand it." He explained. I smiled and nodded, then walked over to his bike.

"Wait, Natsu. Do you have an extra helmet? If not I can take the bus an-" He shook his head.

"No, I have a helmet. Here." He handed me the helmet and then let me get onto the bike. Because the passenger should always get on first. Then he got on and drove off to his house.

                                                                 ____________

"We're here. you can uncover your eyes now." Natsu said. I quickly jumped off and then ran to his front door, forgetting it was locked I humiliated myself trying to open the locked door. "Doors locked, sweetheart. I basically live alone because my parents don't give a shit about me. So, because it still isn't just my house. I had an extra key made. Then I started living life every day like I'm a guy in my 30s living alone." Natsu explained. I nodded but stayed silent.

"So, is math the only subject you wanted to take a look over or..?" I questioned. He shook his head,

"Can we also look over Mrs. Thompson's class?" He suggested. I nodded and then pulled out my textbooks, and a blank notebook for him to write in.

"Do you need a pencil or do you have one?" I asked. He rubbed the back of his neck again and looked down. But he pulled his eyes up to me. Sighing, I pulled out a pencil and handed it to him. "Do you know how to use that thing? Do I need to teach you that part too?" I joked. but it looked like I had hit a nerve. "I'm sorry. I was just trying to make fun. Not any bad daggers towards you." I tried to comfort him.

"It's okay. Just a bunch of my friends call me stupid and always make fun of me for that and it just hits a nerve. But with them, I don't think they are joking." He said, head still down.

"Well, then they are not your true friends. Friends wouldn't make fun of you. They would try to help you understand, and help you stay out of fights and stuff like that." I said.

Natsu nodded then opened his mouth to speak, but didn't. I smiled at him, then started talking about the math lesson. "Okay, so basically what I have to do is divide this number. By the numerator and then add this then get X?" Natsu asked. I nodded happily that I had actually taught someone something useful. Then he jotted all of that down and even put an example

"You are doing great Natsu." I praised him. He smiled wide, almost like he had never been complimented before. "Okay, so next question. How do you do that one?" I pointed to number five. He started to look at it, and I could see it in his face that he was trying to solve it in his tiny head.

"Move this, to the other side. Divide this, and then add this? Then put equals X next to it?" He asked, looking up at me for my approval.

"There you go! I think you got the hang of it!" I clapped for him and then hugged him. Then I quickly let go. "Oh, I'm sorry. Too far?" I questioned. Putting my hands up in a surrendering mode. He then chuckled and shook his head.

"No, not at all. I quite enjoyed being hugged for the first time in a while" Natsu admitted. I smiled, once again. "Okay, now that I think I got the hang of that. Can we start English?" He asked.

"Yeah, let's get to it. Flip to a new page in the notebook and label it English lessons. Then get your pencil ready because I'm just gonna start listing words that you have to research and tell me the meaning of every one of them. And a sentence with the word. Also, have to tell me where the word originated." I explained. Pulling out my English textbook, I moved to the back of the book where words with definitions were.

"Alright, hit me with it. But please say the words slowly so I have time to write each word down." He pleaded. I laughed and smiled.

"Okay, First word: Atrocity," I said. "Second word: Pensive" "Third word: respite." I stopped there to see him already writing down the definitions.

"Atrocity, the act of shocking cruelty. Atrocities were committed by forces on both sides of the conflict. Pensive, Deeply, or seriously thoughtful. I noticed she was still in a pensive mood. And Respite, A pause from doing something. A brief respite for dire food storage." He said all of that. Without hesitation.

"Natsu...you don't need help with English. You did amazing all on your own. You did not need the internet nor my help. I think you are good with English, it's the lack of you trying that hurts you with the subject." I explained. And he smiled.

"I want to do something. But I am not sure if I should do it." Natsu amitted.

"Natsu, always go for what you want. Never keep what you want behind you." I said. the...Natsu kissed me.
