With an airy thunk, Jack lifted the cockpit door open and returned to his seat; this time, without losing his footing. He sat down and eyed the controls with ambition.
"Yen Sid..." He hesitated, his brows raised. "If we should trust him at all, he told Ry and I to set a course for a world...with a stone tower...?"
Ryan closed the panel and got in, settling down in his seat to the left. He looked out the window and gazed at the wizards tower for possibly the last time.. he wasn't sure.
"A stone tower? Thats like,, incredibly vague." Adam sighed, rubbing at his temples with a sigh. "Lets just.. take off and keep an eye out, yeah?" He settled down in his seat to the right of jack.
"I guess," Jack shrugged. He reached over pushed the ignition switch and the ship hummed to life, all the lights and colors flashing into view. He glanced at Adam and Ryan with an almost puppy-dog expression.
"Can I drive...?" He pleaded.
"if you promise not to send us into hyperspace, sure." Ryan teased, pulling his attention back to the cockpit.
Adam sighed softly. "Sure, like ryan said." He pulled at his jacket, feeling... Magic..? From the threads. "..anyone else's outfit feel funny?"
Jack thought to himself as he took a seat in the captain's chair. "I guess it does. Maybe a bit...tingly? Kind of...cold, but also...warm? I don't know..." He hummed confusedly, looking down at his clothes.
Ryan pulled at his shirt. "... I think the fairies infused our outfits with magic.. we might be able to unlock powers under certain conditions. I think."
Adam shrugged. "Cool, if thats the case.. we'll have to try later. Go ahead, start us up jack." He leaned back with a little sigh, putting on his seatbelt.
Jack took a breath before hesitantly pressing the accelerator. Something was different; immediately, the ship dashed away from Yen Sid's tower, fast as lightning. He flew back into the seat, his eyes widening.
Adam and ryan yelped, flying back in their seats. "Jack!!" Adam shouted, squeezing his eyes shut.
Ryan dug his nails into the arm rests. "I thought we said no hyperspeed, what the fuck!?"
"I didn't...touch anything...!" Jack forced the words out; fuck, it was even hard to talk. He felt around for the accelerator, smacking his hand around on the control panel. Eventually, he found the speed dial. He turned it down much lower, almost to the minimum. The ship braked to a stop, Jack almost flying into the windscreen.
Adam and ryan flopped forward, ryan tumbling as he forgot to put on his seatbelt. "..ow." he groaned softly, in a pile of limbs on the floor.
Adams hair had covered his neck before falling back again, looking to ryan. "Ry? You good?" Ryan gave a small thumbs up before slowly collecting himself.
Jack sighed, falling back into his seat. "...Shit!" He took a couple more deep breaths to compose himself; that was not fun.
He glanced out the windscreen and took in his surroundings. He realized this was the first time he'd really gotten to see deep space this well. It was...beautiful, in a way. He could see distant worlds and stars all around him. He smiled to himself. The universe was so massive...and there were so many worlds and people they'd have to save. Jesus.
He peeked over his shoulder at his shook-up brothers. "Everyone alright?"
Adam had gotten up to help ryan, ryan holding his shoulder a little. "Think my arm twisted the wrong way.. i'll be fine though.." he sighed, feeling around for his glasses.
