Chapter 3

When Jay and the others took Hailey & her daughter too the hospital they got her settle in a hospital room and a doctor who is Jay's brother William Halstead. Once she was all checked out Jay came in with a plastic bag and he walked over tords her and she said.

" Hi Jay thank you so much for saving me and my daughter." Hailey said as they hugged
" No problem like what you said don't forget about us and come save me when I'm in trouble." Jay said as she smiles
" Oh I see that your married." Hailey said as she saw a wedding ring on his finger
" Yeah! Sorry I should of told you." He said as she chuckled
" It's ok I should of told you that I was married." Hailey said
" Hey doesn't matter we went different ways." Jay said as he sat down on her hospital bed
" Sighs I know, so how are you and your life?" Hailey asked him
" My life is just simple and I'm ok what about yours?" Jay asked her
" It's not the best life I have wanted since we left our friendship." Hailey said sadly as he nodded
" I know ever since we left I have been crying and asking myself if she's gonna be okay." Jay said as she smiles
" I been the same way with you too." Hailey said
" so where's suzieana?" Jay asked
" you know my daughter's name!" Hailey said shocked
" of course you told me you have always wanted a daughter with that name." Jay said as she blushed
" She's with your brother who's name William Halstead." Hailey said
" That's me! She's all done." William said as the little girl came running to her mother
" Thanks William!" Jay said
" No problem call me if you have any problems." He said as he left
" Suzieana meet my long time childhood Best friend Jay Halstead." Hailey said to her daughter
" Hi Suzie, does mommy tells you everything about me?" Jay asked her gently as she shook her head
" Yes she does she even told me that you guys had sleepovers." Suzie ( For short) said
" Well actually we did, uh look when my team and I where looking for you guys my co-worker officer Kevin Atwater and Anna Alvarado found this." Jay said as he took out a stuffed animal
" Elly my elephant thank you." Suzie said and Hailey was shocked
" Where did you find that?" She asked
" We found it at the parking lot at the FBI's headquarters." Jay said
" She must of dropped it when the bad guys grabbed our arms." Hailey said
" yeah about that! What where their names?" Jay asked
" Theirs my ex-husband Antonio Mark and he has friends to and their names are Ronaldo & Daisy his sister." Hailey said
" Wait so their siblings?" He asked
" Yeah they are I didn't know that either!" Hailey said
" Mommy? I like Jay can we live with him?" Suzie asked
" oh honey I don't know if we can you see Jay's married." Hailey said as her daughter did a frown face and Jay said
" of course you guys can stay I'm pretty sure my wife doesn't mind you guys staying." Jay said
" Yay." Suzie said as they chuckle
" But are you sure?" Hailey asked
" Hails I don't want you to live by yourself plus you need to be protected if your ex-husband is gonna escape prison." Jay said as she nodded
" Alright let's go." Hailey said and they walked out of the hospital into Jay's truck
" oh and don't forget you wanna come to Molly's with me?" Jay asked
" Sure but what about Suzie?" Hailey asked
" we can drop her off at my apartment." He said as he starts the engine and they went to his apartment

Jay's Apartment

When Hailey, Suzie, and Jay got to his apartment he opens the door and too appear no Erin witch he was lucky she would have screamed in his face if he saw Hailey and her daughter with him. He got them settled in the guest room by the time dinner had arrived Erin came walking threw the door looking pissed as she called his name out.

" Yes Erin?" Jay asked annoyed
" I didn't give you my permission to let them stay!" Erin said as she saw Hailey and Suzie in their guest bedroom
" You weren't here and plus this is my apartment I can do whatever I want if you don't appreciate them staying here than I'mma have to kick you out." Jay said as she rolled her eyes as she stormed off to their room
" Everything ok Halstead?" Hailey asked as she came out of the guest room after she put Suzie down for a nap
" Yes hails everything is fine, you know you can call me Jay right?" He asked making her blush
" Yeah I know but I only call you Jay when she's not around." Hailey said
" Hails she's not gonna do anything to you if you call me my first name and if she does I'll knock her out." Jay said as she smiles
" Thanks Jay for everything." Hailey said as they walked too the couch
" No problem! I'll do anything for you and your daughter." Jay said as Suzie came out of the guest room
" Mama?" Suzie asked as she walked too Hailey
" Yes sweetie what's wrong?" Hailey asked
" I wanna Daddy, you look sad." Suzie said as Upton froze in her spot as Jay said
" how about I be your daddy?" Jay asked as her eyes lit up and Hailey was shocked but blushed
" oh umm I'm not sure if that's a good idea she doesn't have your last name." Hailey said as he smirked
" Please mommy? Give him a chance." Suzie said giving her her puppy eyes
" oh how adorable I hate to admit but your daughter is something else." Jay said as she bursted out laughing for the first time in forever
" Yeah she is, alright alright if you sure if that's what you want Jay." Hairy asked him
" Of course I never had a child before me and Erin have been trying to get one but we never did." Jay said as his face went in sad mode
" Oh Jay I'm so sorry to hear that, is that why-." Hailey was cut off
" No, I love her but I don't think this is working out for me." Jay said
" Jay what are you trying to say?" She asked
" what I'm trying to say is that when we were best friends witch we're still are right?" Jay asked
" Of course we are, come on go on get to your point." Hailey said
" When we were best friends I thought that I would lose you forever and not see you again & had moved on witch I did too but I didn't want you to forget about me and our friendship that we built together threw out kindergarten elementary, and Middle school I don't want that to change Hails." Jay said as she started to tear up
" Jay, I don't want that to change either everything you have taught me threw kindergarten, Elementary and middle school I found my self not to be scared you know why? Because you where with me the hole time especially when I was getting bullied about my family and I appreciate that." Hailey said as they lead in closer
" Hails." Jay said as she nodded
" Yeah Halstead?" She asked
" I know that this is crazy but I think that I'm falling in love with you." He said as she chuckled and kissed him he was shocked but kissed her back when they let go she said
" I'm falling in love with you too Jay I love you." Hailey said
" I love you too babygirl." He said smirking
" ooooooooo I love that nickname for you how about Jay-Jay?" Hailey asked as he nodded
" of course whatever works with me." He said
" But what about Erin? Won't she be mad if we got together while your a married man!" Hailey said  but also asked
" That's why I am divorcing her." Jay said and she smiled
" Daddy?" Suzie asked and they where shocked
" That's me princess." Jay said as she jumped into his arms
" I love you dada." Suzie said as he kissed her forehead
" Love you too Princess." Jay said as they all cuddle up on the couch not till Erin came up the stairs as she said
" WHAT THE FUCK?" Erin asked as she made them Jump
" Erin what are you doing here?" Jay asked
" it doesn't matter what are their doing in my house?" She said
" hum excuse you but this is my house ok you get that now pack your bags and leave & I'm going to get a divorce." Jay said
" Why it's not like Hailey's your girlfriend now." Erin said as she playfully chuckled
" Actually I am his girlfriend." Hailey said and she was shocked
