To Love The Enemy (II)

Freshman Year 2013.

Other than the school's profound popularity for its quality standard and high profile students, KMU is also distinguished when it comes to frat and sorority parties.

One event that most students anticipate for was Pi Omega's Halloween Party which the sorority proudly celebrates every year. Chaerin, one of the sorority girls' event supervisors spearheaded the much-awaited party. She and her sisters managed to get some popular bands like CN Blue to adhere to the year's theme - Rock and Roll - a peg that the student body was well prepared for. 

When the party started at 8, a firework display was held at the football grounds.

And then all of a sudden, the dark silent campus was brought to life. The music was blasted from huge speaker displays, the lights were all in place shining on to different angles and directions; And now all the guests started to enjoy themselves.

Before the hour hand went passed 12, there were still a lot of people coming to the venue. Some of them, outsiders. 

First year student and newly transferred, Lisa Manoban was overwhelmed to attend a party so freely debauched. She didn't expect a school with a reputation like KMU would agree to host such event; But seeing that her friends insisted on attending, it wouldn't be so bad to experience the University life. Besides, she heard from someone that Kim Taehyung would be here.

The thought of seeing the boy she had childhood feelings with made her blush. 

Her overthinking has led her to evaluate which behavior would suit best upon meeting the guy. She's contemplating on whether or not she's going to act like she was before when they were 10 and 12 years old. Or maybe she'll do the basics and just "be yourself."

Because of her father's business, they all needed to go back to Thailand five years ago. The distance had kept her occupied rather than missing him always. But when she started writing him traditional hand written letters, she was delighted to read his replies. 

From what Lisa knew so far, Kim Taehyung was a law student and he's already a candidate to the dean's list in his second year. Now that she's 18 and he's 20, she hopes he would still recognize her as the girl he spent his summer with at his father's mansion. 

Her visual mapping was interrupted when her best friend Chaeyoung who was a student from another University excused herself.

It was then when she caught a shadow of someone. The man she's been longing to see. He was exactly like the memory she remembers. Obviously he's taller and more handsome. His maturity was showing off at the way his confidence exudes from him. Except when she stepped forward and looked closer, she didn't prepare herself for what she would discover. 

His back was on her and he was talking to a sorority member. A pretty senior named Irene. 

Lisa's smile turned sour when he not only kissed her, but kissed another girl who approached him as well. Now, two girls were in his arms. Indeed, the sight was traumatizing.

"O-oppa?"

Her eyes turned misty from the tears that were slowly forming behind her lids. He wasn't her boyfriend and there was nothing passed friendship between them but she thought he'd at least tell her he's got a girlfriend. Or maybe two girlfriends...

She thought she noticed him stiffen but it must be a figment of her imagination because when he turned to see her, he looked at her as if she wasn't someone important.
